I think your complaint is valid. It's a pretty tricky fix, though, so edenial remains viable as a strategy. I find faceroll Mesmers especially tragic since their concept focuses very much on choosing the right skills at the right times. With monk/rit skills nearly all being 1/4 sec and 3/4 sec (considering interrupt has 1/4 cast that means you even with 0 ping you need to have much better than average human reflexes), making yet another mechanic twitch based is something I'm firmly against.
