If there's no buffs how are they going to make gw2 skill of the lvl cap is so high?
you're just angry that you got ur character to lvl 20 rlly slowly and once u did eotn came out right?
- To be fair here, I agree with him. I don't really care whether some people were possible to take the fast route. (Their loss of experience IMO) But otherwise it's rather unrealistic for that one farm boy to pick up a sword and three days later he kills the dragon because he's buffed. Hone your skills, get to know them, work with them, then try and kill the dragon. Not oh look mega booster buff. let's goooo. It make the game take itself less serious. It's not really a game if you can just put on GODMODE rush through the game like a complete idiot. (seriously most people are playing like that now). ALso achievements should be achievements and not become things everyone should have access to. In a first person shooter if there's an achievement get 10 headshots in a row and you just put on a aimbot and let him do it for you. That's just simple cheating to me. But yea I noticed that 90% of the people that play games just want to cheat their way out anywya. ;P (Frizz 14:17, 7 May 2010 (UTC))
- To be fair the buffs are not completely unreasonable, for example in nightfall I had my character a level or two behind and entered a mission for level 20s. So the game gave me a buff to get my health up to par. Now is it so wrong for me to get a slight buff because I hadn't hunted out every single quest, and mind you I had done almost all of them, or should I be forced to try and make my way through a mission that I'm just slightly unprepared for? Admittedly if your gonna be just using buffs to get yourself really powerful then that's a problem, for you. This is a game and it's meant to be fun, if fun for you means being really powerful and obliterating anything that looks at you funny then go for it, but I personnaly want to enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played. --Indigo121 11:49, 3 June 2010 (UTC)
- Why are people in such a hurry to get to the max level, anyway? I'm sure they aren't doing it so they can get less gameplay for their money! The question should be: should a player be forced to choose between playing a heroic character and experiencing content? I think not! Fortunately, most of Guild Wars is played at level 20. Also, your point about achievements is a bit off. In most FPSs, you don't get levels that make headshots for you. Similarly, getting to level 20 in GW will not play the game for you. It's hardly GODMODE. Most monsters still have better stats than L20 characters, so player skill is still one of the biggest factors in success. People who play like idiots usually get stuck until someone who knows what they're doing helps them through. Grinding for levels has nothing to do with player skill and should not be a factor in earning achievements. --Silverdawn 22:20, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
