Just as bad tbh Yeen 19:45, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- At least it has no recharge time, but you still need to waste a skillslot on it, which you could also have used to do something that affects play instead. Koda Kumi 19:49, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- Hmm. What if it were "Steal 10 energy" instead? Then it'd be energy management in addition to spirit mobility.
- Also, this is more directed toward PvP, where people have 1 or 2 spirits on their bar, usually. It's not supposed to be anything close to Summon Spirits. There are a few skills that require the user to be in earshot of a spirit (ghostly haste, essence strike), and that can get very, very restrictive. is for Raine, etc. 20:12, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
- The problem is alot deeper then this.First of all you have this massive "skill slot" thing you have to work around. And by design I don't know anything balanced you'd be able to give to this skill that would be worth a skill slot. Then there is the "Spirits in a game based on mobility" part you have to work around aswell.Bcause as long as spirits aren't a viable yet balanced way to play this one won't be any good. - imo, a lot of spirits would be viable if they were mobile (in addition to the support spirits that don't need to be mobile, like Life). For example, Bloodsong in RA. It's decent when it's around, but it has that issue of not being able to move to accommodate changes in the match. There are more that aren't viable at all (like Agony), and those simply need to be buffed.
- The issue with this skill, then, is giving it a function good enough to be worth taking, in addition to overcoming spirits' handicap. Increasing the energy steal would make it a Siphon Spirit of sorts, which would be good, imo. is for Raine, etc. 19:26, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- Spirits don't just restrict you because they can't move. They also restrict you because they take so damn long to cast and are broken when they don't take damn long to cast.I just don't like the design of spirits in general excluding ranger spirits (lol irony) Yeen 19:41, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- They actually don't take much longer to cast than an Attunement or Res Sig. Still, I wouldn't mind some 2s binding rituals. I might propose some changes to those, at some point. is for Raine, etc. 19:48, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
- The pace of the game has been driven up ALOT lately. There is a reason people don't run that many 2sec cast skills. And thats proly the reason people don't run 4-5 spirits on 1 bar Yeen 19:59, 12 March 2010 (UTC)
