Hello Joe, First i'd like to thank all of arenanet for this wonderful game you've done ! As you might have seen i'm currently working on a special mod/project with all the cartography of the game, and will try to gather all knowledge about portal jump or death teleportation, if this can be a proof that I love this game even in its flaws. I wanted to ask of you and of the team several requests, if you're interested and if these are not too difficult to implement of course, and why I'd like to see it :
Ability to go back to Ascalon City in pre-searing as long as ascalon academy is not over and/or access to PvP in Pre-Searing I'd personally love to have the clean map on my perma and it would put more use in the pre-searing ascalon pvp zone. If not possible, granting access to the pvp arena or to the Ascalon Academy explorable area could also be really nice.
Hello again Joe ! Hope you and the team are well ! Here i open a new section since the old one is too big now. Let me say again that I know the current position of Arenanet about game updates : this section is here as a brainstorming just in case the team consider doing new updates with Guild Wars again ; I don't expect anything from this. This section is about the Ascalon Academy PvP Arena and other low level PvP arena cases.
Current situation : nobody enters the low level arenas anymore, due to not being able to find enough players, due to the difference in levels which can create unbalance between teams, and because level requirement makes most people unable to enter them. Ascalon Academy case is worse, since the character can only enter the arena once, before leaving pre-searing
Solutions :
- 1) let things be. Who cares about low level PvP anyway ? Also working on correcting the existing critical bugs is more important than implement unnecessary updates that may generate new ones.
- 2) remove these areas forever. They are not needed and take useless room.
- 3) revive these areas. They can contribute to cartography titles and are part of the original Guild Wars. Level requirement/unbalance due to levels issues may both be solved by setting a specal buff fixing character levels to the current limitation value. Something similar has already been done to set some characters to lvl 20 during Consulate Docks and Eye of the North. In Pre-Searing, earning xp could make LDoA less about grind while also make an interesting introduction to PvP.
I leave other contributors of this wiki to express any other point I may have missed, and the choice lies in your hands ! --78.231.36.113 15:06, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
