point was to have a "i'm better than you" effect of necromancer liches and that claiming a foe as an ally is extremely necromantic. the costs are justified based on gw1 contexts and is required to be steep, easiest way was to apply a high maintain and recharge penalty. i take full understanding if this page is removed due to lack of necessary info for a proper suggestion. - it's a good idea, the only thing is that it doesn't seem to fit the current elite concept for gw2. Gw2 elites are essentially skills that make everyone go OH SHOOT SOMEONE JUST USED AN ELITE!!! Like sanctuary creates a zone of 100% safety with health regen, Eles can turn in to tornadoes, etc etc. These elites then have HUGE recharge, ie several minutes. Finally energy costs have been bumped up to the hundreds. But srsly, good ideaIndigo121 22:26, 16 March 2011 (UTC)
- Not a bad idea. Be fun to watch two necro enemies equipped with this elite battling it out over control of non-fleshies and summoned creatures :) It also reminds me a bit about a suggestion for an elite I made a couple years ago for GW1. I called it "Revenant". It would permit the necro to resurrect a dead ally or foe as a minion under the control of the necro. The resurrected ally or foe would be undead and treated like a minion for the purposes of health degen. Also, to balance it a little bit more so the necro couldn't spam it indenfinitely - thus depriving the player turned into a Revenant from ever regaining control of their own character - there would be (A) a recharge that would take longer than the time it would take for the Revenant to degen to death and (B) the Revenant couldn't benefit from any form of healing whatsoever. However, the necro would gain access to the Revenant's skill bar; it would be like adding another hero to the necro's party and under control of the necro while the Revenant lasted.
