sounds nice because it allows mistakes at a small cost and allows you to think whether or not skills are worth the extra recharge time, though i think there needs to be a cap on this, as i think it will need to run out sometime or other. Though in pvp I think this could lead to e-denial(if it still exists) to become nearly useless, as a small recharge difference might not put people off using a skill as they know it will only add a 1 sec charge time to a skill. I find your general idea quite interesting and I would like to take it a step further, since I think that additional recharge time is not enough to replace the current effect of no energy (being unable to cast, that is). If you try to do stuff in RL while "low on energy" (i.e. tired, exhausted) you take longer (i.e. longer casting time/DAS ig) you become sloppy (i.e. skills become less efficient (like with the weakness condition in GW1 that decreases your attributes)) and it takes much more effort to do stuff (increased energy cost). Perhaps the character would even need to catch his breath after a fight/while running around every now and then if he has negative energy. My point is basically, that being able to cast despite having no energy should be met with a large disadvantage rather than just a little more recharge time.
Furthermore, I think in order to make energy a long-term resource, it's regen should be kept very low in and outside of battle. However, the hero should "let his guard down" (preferably automatically) in towns/villages (anywhere where one is not supposed to fight under normal circumstances) in order to gain a temporarily increased regen. This would punish players who waste energy in fights, as they'd have to return to "safe havens" all the time because of exhaustion 83.76.69.32 19:18, 9 October 2010 (UTC)
