Feedback talk:User/Underwood/MoI and Water Magic Snares

To fix this skill the damage needs to be elemental and not armor ignoring. The functionality of the skill is fine, it's useful just a bit too effective and just needs tweaked.~>Sins WDB 16:23, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Lies. Water Magic Hexes deal too much damage while also being able to snare. You don't see other snares doing 70+ damage. In other words, Water Magic should be a line you spec into for 1 to 3 skills and not a I can snare, make warriors miss with attack skills, and do lolwtfbbqhax domages all in one.--Underwood 16:32, 23 September 2009 (UTC)
- Actually, I've found that bars utilizing this deal less damage than Water Magic bars oriented to do so exclusively (See Shatterstone, and snare less effectively than Water Magic bars oriented to do so (See Icy Shackles or Mind Freeze). This just gives you less of both on the same bar. Honestly, I see no reason to change it more, even making the damage elemental would be overkill, in my opinion. - Shatter stone is spikes... Icy Shackles and Mind Freeze is for the 90% snare... this is for uber pressure Talamare 06:31, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- Um...the elite snares aren't worth it when you have shard storm and freezing gust. Both recharge faster than the elite snares, as such, any non-elite snare is better. 90% or 66% hardly matters. High damage shouldn't exist on a character with powerful snares. Shitterstone is bad.--Underwood 07:26, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- All I have to say to that is "lol". Bathory talk 07:33, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
- i'm with bathory, but eh, i don't pvp more often than once every few months so i wouldn't know.Akbaroth 20:50, 25 September 2009 (UTC)
- To be honest, I haven't done much PvP beyond TA recently, but I've still HAed and GvGed, been in guilds geared only towards one of those two types of play and believe I've got a pretty basic understanding of them. Without being on a Me/E this doesn't offer you anything but some damage and some snare. Other elites gives you a lot of one or the other. Bathory talk 01:02, 26 September 2009 (UTC)
- You realize you can run Shard Storm and Freezing Gust on a Shatterstone bar, right? If Shatterstone were comparable in the damage department, people would be running that instead, no? Or is 120-damage-dealing, RoF-smashing, spike-snaring, one-second-casting, damage-compressing Shard Storm better? Hmmmmmm. is for Raine, etc. 17:23, 3 March 2010 (UTC)
When did I say anything about Shatterstone?September, apparently. Besides, all I'm pointing out is that MoI doesn't do anything but buff snares you're already using. And without fast casting they're more prone to be interrupted. The damage from this is nice, sure, but it's still only 30-odd on top of the damage the snares already dealt.
