Dec 25th Birthdays[edit]
No one has a Christmas birthday? I seriously considered adding Jesus or Santa Claus on that date, but figured no one would find me as funny as I do. That usually seems to be the case. Thefount 17:27, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- at least you know jesus was born on christmas. if you ask people here, at least 70% will have no idea it's related to jesus. - Y0_ich_halt 18:26, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Scientific research has proven Jesus was likely born closer to April. Calor 18:32, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Quite possibly
turetrue, Calor, but I'm not so sure Santa was born on Christmas either. It was intended to be funny. (edited twice because I can't type and am apparently an idiot) Thefount 18:37, 3 April 2008 (UTC)- Meh, I never learned/was told that Santa was born on Christmas, only that he made every second an hour and went down chimneys to give kids presents (and drink their milk and cookies) on Christmas. And I knew it was supposed to be a joke, just felt like pointing that out. Calor 18:40, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Well, the only person who I've ever heard actually suggest it was Bart Simpson. "Aren't we forgetting the true meaning of Christmas? You know, the birth of Santa?" I just mentioned it because Santa Claus was in my original comment. Thefount 18:45, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Jesus was actually born somewhere near summer / spring but they celebrate it on X-mass because every other religion (or most) had something on 25 dec --Fox007 18:47, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Bible (old ftl) says he was born on Christmas. Calor 18:49, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Really? Not in mine or any that I've ever read. Wait a minute. Stop dragging me into any sort of quasi-serious discussions. Thefount 18:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- It's not like I payed more than 32% attention in church, but that's what I've been told in my stupor. But let's navigate away from any religious discussions. Calor 18:53, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, please. I had no idea something like this would happen when I first made a silly joke. Thefount 18:56, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- no, the bible does not say it was december 25, otherwise we wouldn't celebrate christmas on december 24 here. it's just a date miscalculated like our calendar; since year 0 (which doesn't exist) is supposed to be jesus' birthday, it's wrong: jesus was born 7 years after afaik. also it might be all 300 years of medieval are just an invention of church. to conclude, don't trust the dates, just be happy everything happened like it did, when you celebrate doesn't really matter imo xD christmas is just a nice date with the following year change (might also be one of the reasons it's there). - Y0_ich_halt 19:03, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- christmas is just a nice date with the following year change You might want to check your Calender xD--Fox007 19:05, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

- But it ain't the date :) --Fox007 20:15, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

- to correct: science has proven that jesus has lived and that he did stuff people found very mysterious. afaik Cicero and Plinius and some historicans wrote about him or so. what science hasn't found yet is a) proof he actually cured illnesses like blind and such and b) why people said he did. - Y0_ich_halt 20:51, 4 April 2008 (UTC)

Wow many ppl[edit]
Wow, it has been months since I visited this page (last time was Jan) - the list sure have grown. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Barinthus (talk • contribs) at 09:10, July 8, 2008 (UTC).
November Birthdays[edit]
I'm quite suprised there's not many people with Birthdays in November on the wiki. In my experience, in the UK, there are loads of people with Birthdays in Novemeber. I assume its because of Valantine's day. Its just weird we're lacking them on the wiki.- TheRave (talk) 17:33, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
a suggestion?[edit]
To maybe make it easier for some people, some people could add links straight to their talk page, next to their name on the list?Arty 11:25, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've already changed the coding for the notice that comes up in the pink section to link to the user talk page rather than the user page not that long ago. Since it only shows up when there's a birthday it isn't presently showing but at the time I thought that should be sufficient since normally people say happy birthday on the day although I guess depending on time zone it might not be exactly the day to everyone it is going by wiki time. --Kakarot 11:38, 19 January 2009 (UTC)
- lol sorry just realised that the link at the top takes you straight to the talk page ^^

Dead links[edit]
There currently are 13 dead links to userpages on the project page.
Should these links be removed or left as they are? - (BlackHoleSun 22:11, 14 March 2009 (UTC))
New Point[edit]
Can we remove the ones who are inactive? If they become active again, they can add their name again if they would... |Cyan LightLive!| 07:54, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- I don't see a problem in just leaving them there.. poke | talk 08:40, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Well, I try to wish everyone a Happy Birthday (what you can see in my contributions) and it is nice if you see that people read it (you can see that mostly through the edit date before thae HB edit) If people are inactive then it feels a little pointless =( |Cyan LightLive!| 14:47, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
- Just because they aren't contributing, doesn't automatically mean they aren't active. They may just be logging in to check etc, and finding birthday greetings would be nice. -- Wyn 15:05, 7 April 2009 (UTC)
If I look back and I dont see any reaction, then that makes me feel doing pointless things. Second point is that if we compare it with years before the HB community is very little. New people got wishes from 10 people in 2008, even if they dont knew that person... That was realy great and then you realy feel accepted in this community. If I see how many people post a HB post or even a welcome post to new members now, then that can only make me sad. I dont like how it is now, and I hope that can change. Im doing my best but is should be nice if I were not the only one. I dont try to force anybody to do things, but it should be nice when others do it too. And when this makes me too emotional for a wiki, then so should be it. But then is it clear for me that this isnt the kind and nice community I hoped it was. Greetings...- |Cyan LightLive!| 15:26, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Birthday Template[edit]
It would be cool if someone was able to make a BirthDay Template, or userbox, in which it would say: "Today is Example's BirthDay! Send them a nice Happy BirthDay Message on their talk page!", or something like that, and it would list all the people whose birthdays were on for that day, and it would constantly, automatically update to the next day for whose birthday it would be. Any chance that that would be possible, perhaps? Did anyone understand that, or was it just all mumbo-jumbo gibberish? =/ -- §Lacky§ Talk 23:30, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- I don't think being a good idea to have a reason to spam messages in other people's user pages. If you know a user, it may be nice to give a gift in-game or send a message. If you don't, there's no need to promote strangers to spam messages in other user's pages. MithTalk 23:38, 14 June 2009 (UTC)
- Well, that wasn't the reason why I was wanting to see if it could be created. I was just wanting a kind of easier/quicker/compact way of being able to see whose birthday it was for that day, without having to come to this page. That way, people could put the userbox or template or whatever on their userpage, and be able to just see it from there. Or, we could put something like it on the Main Page, so that when we come to the Wiki, we can see whose birthday it is for that day. -- §Lacky§ Talk 23:43, 14 June 2009 (UTC)

Request[edit]
Could someone please add "Grenths Kitty" to October 3rd, and somehow link it to my account.
It's my gf/fiance and she doesn't have a wiki account. -- Stimpson J Kat 22:49, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
- I think it only works for the actual account. You should get her to create an account, then add it. -- Lacky 01:41, 9 July 2009 (UTC)
