Skill type. A glyph is a type of skill and is used to alter the effects of the next one or more spells cast.
Game mechanics[edit]
- All Elementalist glyphs cost 5 energy to cast, have an activation time of one second, and provide at least 1 "charge".
- Glyphs cannot be removed by foes once they have been activated.
- Glyph effects always occur before the effect of the spell where applicable, such as Glyph of Immolation and Glyph of Restoration.
- If a glyph is cast while another glyph is already active, the new one replaces the old one.
- Glyphs are not spells, so they're not affected by bonuses that affect only spells.
- Most glyphs have a duration of 15 seconds:
- If the glyph's "charge(s)" is not completely "used up" within the timeframe, the glyph's effect ends.
- Spells will not generally consume a glyph's "charge" if they are cancelled, the only exceptions are Glyph of Energy and Glyph of Lesser Energy.
