IMPORTANT!
This is merely a smurf guild that was created to fill out our alliance. This guild has no members in it except for the guild leader: one of Lena's alt accounts. The following information listed in this page is based off of the head branch, Guild Ancestors Reunited [ギルド].
Guild History
Guild Ancestors Reunited [GAR] was founded February 17th, 2006, by Jon Texidor (aka/ign: Legendary Lena (W/*) / Lena Allums (W/*) / Lena The Saint (Mo/*)). [GAR] was originally formed as a PvE guild with little knowledge of the history it would endure over the course of time. [GAR] has undergone many ups and downs over it's existence and has taught many new and experienced players how to play Guild Wars even better than they could have hoped to learn through their own playing abilities. After a while, [GAR] had recruited members that were fresh-out-of-the-box and over time tweaked them to become elite Guild Wars players. These guildies are still part of the guild to this very day and are actually officers instead of just a regular member. Over time, [GAR] changed into a pure PvP guild and took/held Halls on a daily basis. This lasted for quite a while but slowly drifted towards a more balanced PvE/PvP type of guild. Due to wanting a more "distinguishable" and "cooler" tag for PvP play, on 3/17/2007, [GAR] was officially no longer tagged [GAR]. The guild had decided on a new tag-- a distinguishable tag, a tag of remembrance. Henceforth, 'til this day, "Guild Ancestors Reunited [ギルド]" is what it will forever be named.
History Continues
From the time of August '07 to February '08, [ギルド] went into a hardcore Kurzick hFF (hero faction farming) playstyle. During these 7 months, [ギルド] held roughly 4+ million faction at all times by it's self and had been in 'many' House zu Heltzer Alliances. After 7 long months of hFF, [ギルド] had bred a total number of 3 Savior of the Kurzicks (which is a grand total of 10,000,000 Kurzick faction per person [each of the members/officers started anywhere between 0 and 500,000 faction), along with MANY Champion of the Kurzicks and Hero of the Kurzicks.
Towards the end of [ギルド]'s 7 month reign, the Guild Leader decided to settle down as a guild and, decided to go back to [ギルド]'s roots-- a small, yet very close guild with no faction reqs, no must-be active reqs, nothing-- just a laid back guild with the priveledge of being able to leave Guild Wars for extended periods of time (3+ months) without having to worry about being kicked for inactivity. During this process, the Guild Leader also decided to remake the guild exclusive once again, the Guild Leader told his members about this and then had himself and his officers do the tidious task of spreading the message everyday on every new hour that "in 1 weeks time we will form a list and the officers/leader will go over and kick a minimum of 70 people from the guild, so, take this time to find another guild to place yourselves in". After the week ended, the Guild Leader did just that, he kicked 70 people, dropping the more "random" people and keeping the more loyal and longest members who were there from the beginning.
After about a month, the Guild Leader casted yet another important vote. A vote that will change everything. He stated, "we have been Kurzick for the better part of 2 years, I think it is at long last that we go back to what we originally were when allegence-choosing was first introduced" (going back to being Luxons). The Guild Leader posted this message up for 2 weeks, giving everyone a chance to know what is going to happen. After the 2 weeks expired, a poll was casted. "Press 1 for Luxon, and, press 2 for Kurzick". The decision was instantly clear: we had a huge vote of 21 to 7 from the people who were online at the cast of the vote. After the vote was completed, [ギルド] went Luxon, and, started to form it's own alliance with [ギルド] as the head guild. 'Til this day, the guild is still Luxon and will continue to be until any sudden change of hearts ever arise within' the leadership between the officers and the Guild Leader.
History Continues [some more]
Months and months carry on until [ギルド] finally decides it was time to start the long, tideous quest of Luxon faction farming. Between the dates of 9/1/08 to present day, [ギルド] has been a semi-active FF guild with a maintained faction number of 2 mil to 3 mil (this low number due to the fact that we don't want to completely change the focus of the guild; we don't want to become a FF-focused guild and do nothing else). 'To this very day, as of 12/16/09, [ギルド] has already produced 6 Savior of the Luxons (Lena and Light Feathers being the first 2) as well as many others who have pushed their Luxon titles very far. [ギルド] currently has no plans to stop being an exclusive guild, nor does [ギルド] have plans to stop being a powerfully influencial guild amongst the Guild Wars society.
About the Tag
The tag is Japanese. In Japanese it is spelled "girudo". Pronounciation of this word is gih-ruu-doh. In Japanese-English translation the word "girudo" means "Guild".
About the Cape
YES, our cape is pink. YES, it does have a flamingo on it. The members of our guild are always saying "real men wear pink", which we think is quite funny. On a serious note, our guild is very well known for our cape and often people refer to us as "hey you know that guild with the pink cape?" or "hey you know that guild with the pink cape and awesome tag?". We absolutely love it. The attention is great, and, to the more "experienced" players on Guild Wars, any one of them can and will tell you that this is not Guild Wars, it is FASHION Wars (how you look is everything). If you want to be remembered-- then have a rememberal name, a rememberal cape, a rememberal tag, and have a high activity in big towns where people like to hang out (Kamadan, Lions Arch, Shing Jea, ect..). In conclusion, people in the guild always tend to always make their armor pink to match the cape-- which just makes it all so much more better.
Officer Rules and Regulations
To this day the members, officers, and even the proud Guild Leader of Guild Ancestors Reunited [ギルド] have continued to strive and better themselves. The guild has 3 simple but very important rules that keep order and power intuned to the Guild leader that are still respected to this very day.
Those rules are:
1) Officers are not to promote members. This power is reserved for the Guild Leader. If an officer notices great things from a particular member and thinks that they're ready for this posistion then they are to come to the Guild Leader and explain why they think this and then the Guild Leader will secretly evalute this person.
2) Officers are not to kick members out of rage or if an argument were to occur or just because they feel like they can kick because they have the power to do so. This power is reserved for the Guild Leader. If an officer feels a member needs to be kicked they are to come to the Guild Leader and explain why they feel this way. Most of the time members are not kicked unless extreme inappropriate behavior (racial slur, hard flamming, ect) occurs.
3) Officers are not to recruit via advertising. Recruitment to the Guild is exclusive and, as such, officers are only allowed to invite people to the guild under 2 criterias:
- The person approaches us first, asking to join.
- Someone in the guild has a friend/family member/ect (in short, is refered to us) who would like to join the guild.
4) No matter what the situation, always remember-- THIS IS A GAME!! Just relax, lay back, and have fun.
No Reinvite Policy
Due to Guild Ancestors Reunited being an exlusive guild, the guild leader put a rule in place that prevented guild-hopping back in early '07 that is still in effect to this day. This rule was designed to keep the guild's exclusitivity and to ensure loyal members.
The way this rule works is:
- If a member leaves the guild without contacting Lena or Light Feathers, they are automatically exempt for an appeal to rejoin the guild ever again.
- If a member leaves the guild after contacting Lena or Light Feathers and explaining their reason(s) for wanting to leave (whether it be temporary or long-term), they will be allowed to rejoin at a later time if their reason for wanting to leave initially is within reasonable cause.
- If a member leaves under the protection of option #2, they are only allowed ONE reinvite. Should the person leave again, even if they explain their reason(s) to Lena or Light Feathers, they simply will not be allowed back into the guild. In the case even if the member talks to Lena and/or Light Feathers, they are given the courtesy of being informed about Guild Ancestors Reunited's 1-reinvite policy and linked to this page if for any reason they are still confused about the rule.
While [ギルド] does not prohibit people from leaving the guild, it does try everything it can to protect its members and to try and make them reconsider their decision to leave. No one in [ギルド] is a prisoner, and, if they choose to leave the door is always wide open.
