About Us

Knights of Echovald was formed by Lord Araknus on 2/19/07. KoE was part of the Guildcast Listeners United [GLU] alliance until Guildcast(A Guild Wars podcast) stopped making episodes. The GLU Alliance was disbanded when this happened. With nowhere to go, Lord Araknus then made Chipmunk Kitty guild leader. Many of the former GLU members then joined KoE. Chipmunk Kitty eventually grew bored of Guild Wars. Because of this, Doom Box was promoted to leader of KoE. Doom Box became well known through making a series of Guild Wars Guides and other Guild Wars videos on youtube. Due to the high popularity of videos created by Doom Box, the guild began to grow rapidly with new members, causing Knights Of Echovald The Sequel and Knights Of Echovald The Third to be formed. KoE was part of the Brotherhood Of Veterans [BRO] Alliance for over a year, which unfortunately became inactive. With that KoE and its sister guilds packed up and formed their own alliance. Now KoE and KoE The Sequel are in the same alliance, however KoE The Third is in a separate alliance being used as the guild "Res Shrine" for inactive players and guilds that were once part of the main alliance.

Alliance Events and Activities

• We like to do group activites to help strengthen our relationship with our members.
• We also like to make videos and guides for YouTube.
• Lastly we like to participate with random events like Fashion shows or hide an go seek in our guild halls.

Rules and Joining

There are a few basic rules in our guild.

• Please try to keep Alliance Chat spam free. This ain't Spamadan!
• Try to keep it semi-mature, we aren't too up tight about swearing, etc. But try not to get out of hand.
• Ventrilo is HIGHLY recommended. 95% of all our activity takes place on Vent.

We used to accept any random members, but this caused too many problems and guild overcrowding. We downsized and now accept members less freely. If you are interested in joining our community, then contact one of the following people, and state why you wish to join.

• Doom Box: A Guild Wars Video maker. Doom Box has created many guides to various things in Guild Wars. These have attracted many members to KoE making it as big as it is today.

• Daelin Dwin: Another Guild Wars Video maker, Daelin Dwin makes various Guild Wars machinimas for some reason. Also known as the Vice-Leader of KoE.

• Kristoph of Zion: An ex-GLU member who has been around from the start of when KoE got good. Also a God Walking Amongst Mere Mortals.

• Sit Of Paw: An ex-BRO member who moved to KoE when it started getting inactive. He also makes music and posts it on YouTube.

• Faith The Protector: Another ex-BRO member who joined when BRO died. Wears a clown suit.

• Mrs Ima Gana Killya: An ex-BRO member who joined when BRO died and a Guild Wars Video maker, but this time made famous after various YouTube poops were made off one of his videos.

• Viiktor Right: A professional Norwegian portal jumper, was featured in Doom’s Guide To Portal Jumping. Also noted for enjoying salmon

• Bendek Stormsaver: Cool cat. Owns the Bendek Buttshavr® Corporation and Factory.

• Mysterious Agent: A secret agent marn.

• Akina Yamito: A Cool Canadian cat noted for enjoying fun dip and poutine.

• Chris P Bakon: Doom's RL friend, featured in some of his videos.

• Silver Moon Striker: Cool cat. skill hunter. and epic photoshop skills Flickr

Trivia

• The guild should have been named "The Knights of the Echovald" but its creator was a little silly.

• The cape was designed by Ace Eclipse.

• There was a mild war, thanks to Daelin, between KoE and the infamous YaRR alliance. The YaRR Alliance disbanded afterwards so I guess KoE won.

• KoE hold livecasts every now and then. One of which, a discussion about Guild Wars 2, got pranked by someone pretending to be an ArenaNet employee.

• KoE is pronounced "Kay-Oh-E", unlike Chris P Bakon who believes its pronounced "Co".

• KoE, if spelt koe means Cow in dutch.

• KoE successfully migrated to Guild Wars 2, under the new name Knights of Elysium.
