Over a thousand years ago, a Temple was being built in Arrah. It was dedicated to what the first Shekinah, Niamh, and her followers believed to be a God. More than twenty years it took to build the Temple, but finally it was done, and when the Goddess saw it, she smiled upon her followers and blessed Niamh and her successors. No Shekinah could die whilst there was none to follow her, but every Shekinah is expected to have an heir by the time of her thirtieth birthday. Usually the title is passed mother to daughter, but if for some reason a Shekinah was unable or unwilling to have a child, it was passed to a promising Priest, who was adopted as the Shekinah's daughter.
A thousand years later, the disaster that was the Cataclysm struck Orr and buried Arrah, and with it, Kyriak Temple. But among the few survivors was a lady named Kashi Acara - the Shekinah of Kyriak Temple. She fled Orr, and found refuge among those who sheltered her Goddess's greatest artefact - the Arcane Blade. It was said that to create and then destroy anything was within it's power.
She had one wish to ask the wielder of the Blade - save her Temple. Elder Miraku Aree complied, and the Temple was raised from the depths, relocated to a large island near where the Arees' home was. Only a short stretch of water seperated the two islands, and soon they struck up a friendship, the Arees supplying the ruined Temple with much needed builders to remake the Temple, building it up to it's former glory.
But then the Blade vanished.

History
Kyriak Temple was once known as Selene Temple, the leaders of the Arcane Blade alliance, but the guild was taken by it's rightful owners to return to the alliance it was meant to be in. So the guild's then sole member handed it over after many long conversations with the effective leader of the Guardians of the Arcane Blade and the alliance members. They had decided to remake what was Selene with it's converted lore into what is now Kyriak Temple.
Currently there are three members in the guild, but we aim to expand to maybe twenty or so if we can. It seems like a fun challenge, and we hope any guildless people out there can help!
Our aim is to stay small to medium so that we can get to know everyone in character and out of character, but still manage to maintain a decent level of activity to keep us nolifers from boredom! :)

We are currently working on a website and forum and it should be up soon - it all relies on the leader's Dad doing what he's supposed to, which is unlikely ^ ^
