History

Order of Collateral Damage was formed in Guild Wars on June 19, 2005.

The Order of Collateral Damage is the Guild Wars extension of a gaming group based in Austin, TX. Originally a tabletop RPG gaming group, the OCD can be found online in many different games, such as Guild Wars, Battlefield 2142, Counterstrike:Source, and Team Fortress 2.

Members in the Austin, TX area form the core membership, but players from many different US regions and even a few different countries make up our extended membership roster.

Activities

[OCD] maintains at least 3 scheduled events per week, and normally has 4-5 per week.

• Mon 10:30pm CST Vanquish run by Jorian Kortoli (GL of [VIGL])
• Thu 9:00pm CST Challenge Mission run by Rowena Carpelli [OCD]
• Thu 10:30pm CST Dungeon or Elite area run by Anja Stjarnskott [OCD]
• Fri every other week 10:30pm CST HM Missions run by Lars Cainan [OCD]

Please feel free to join us on these great events, just contact the event coordinator for the desired event. Other events are posted on our Yahoo! group calendar from time to time. We also maintain a collectible drops bank for special events, such as the Canthan New Year "Feast."

Mentality

Frith (an old Saxon word) is the fundamental currency of the family and of the organization. At its simplest, the word means peace within the group. In the context of a community, it means much more than that: mutual respect, appreciation, inter-reliance (trust), nurturing, and synergy. It's the core value that the legal term "Disturbing the Peace" derives from and protects, and it's the very essence of Japanese "wa" or "harmony."

This is the spirit of personal conduct our Guild embodies.

Play Style

[OCD] focuses on PvE, although Alliance Battles are not unheard of, and some of our members do PvP on occasion. Most of are members have been in the game for quite some time, therefore focus more on HM, elite areas, and titles. We do, however, have newer players; these players have a passionate dedication to the game and are advancing at a very fast pace.

Recruitment

The Order of Collateral Damage is currently recruiting new members.

We are looking for players who are active and enthusiastic about the game. You should also be polite and respectful to your guildmates (please see the aforementioned section about "frith"), but a good sense of humor is a plus; we just love to have a good time. We currently have all age groups and no age requirement, but we do require members to behave in a mature way.

Most of our events cater to the high end areas (see activites section), but we will accept newer players if you have a strong dedication for the game, we are a helpful guild if you want/need it. We use Teamspeak for voice chat and, although it is not required, it is recommended.
