History
A group of friends who played together on Guild Wars created the guild that came to be YoHo. Pirates Of The Searing has seen rapid sucess in a short period of time and still continues to go from strength to strength. A distinct friendly and relaxed atmosphere brings out the best in it's members, with no forced upon requirements apart from commitment and maturity, YoHo is seen as an ideal guild for players who like to do what they want to do at their own pace.
On December 10th 2007, YoHo became Guild of the Week on GuildWars.com.
Currently, YoHo is in hibernation, pending the arrival of GW2.
PvP and PvE
GvG has been tried in the past and has recently came to a stand still. Current members are featured in the Hero Battle ladder as well as high ranked Gladiator and Hero titles.
PvE events such as missions, quests and farming are common throughout the day, with the majority of the guild's members being primarily (not entirely) PvE based.
The YoHo forum is a great source of PvE/PvP builds used by members, accompanied with gwBBcode and Youtube integration for easy understanding and implementation.
The guild's private Ventrilo server is used frequently by it's members, different aspects of the game are allocated channels which is free to use for all members and approved guests.
Recruitment
Pirates Of The Searing are well established and have been through their ups and downs, reaching rank 300 on the official Guild Ladder during thier PvP stint.
They are UK based and Luxon, but that doesn't matter as it's alliance is not faction farming based. They are a large friendly community, holding events, sharing help and knowledge and generally having a good time; thats the aim of the game. Members are typically from Europe, however some members are from USA, Australia and South Africa!
Whether you are into PvE or PvP, there is something for you, as for YoHo they are primarily PvE.
It is asked that all members are committed, mature and willing to give/receive help.
Currently the guild has about 80 members. Guild Wars isn't just about PvE or PvP, thats why we have dedicated PvP ICs who organise PvP events for the members who want something added or different to their experience in the guild. Members join in the knowledge they are not limited to PvE.
