The Angelic Guard [AG] was formed in August 2005 by a group of beta-testers of the original game. They grew the guild by looking for people who were fun, friendly, and good communicators; they encouraged good sportsmanship, active participation, and a lighthearted atmosphere on guild chat and the forum. These principles are still followed by the guild today. When Factions was released AG joined with other guilds and soon found itself leading a very active alliance. However, politics and entropy caused that alliance to crumble as so often happens. AG joined the Scars Meadows [SMS] alliance for a time but now we lead our own alliance once again. Our goal is to maintain a strong alliance with mature, honorable, heroic, fun people who respect each other and enjoy the game together. We are not interested in politics or drama. Friendliness and positive attitude are more important than skill level (real or imagined); a beginner can always attain more experience and get better but there is little that can be done to fix antisocial behavior.

AG is a PvE focused guild. We enjoy helping with difficult missions or quests or grouping for forays into the Underworld, Fissure of Woe, Domain of Anguish or other elite areas. We have members who enjoy PvP though it is not our primary focus. Some of our members also get into farming or title hunting; the guild leader Khomet Si Netjer has 35 maxed titles and 50/50 in the Hall of Monuments. You may find us doing everything from solo farming in the Underworld, helping people through missions, sightseeing in the Falls, doing dungeons Spartan Style (no casters!) or just having parties in our guildhall. We periodically run through low-level missions naked, ie. without armor, as a way to challenge ourselves and test our skills... and besides, it is hilarious. :-D AG is also infamous for having "Nekkid" parties in various places such as the boat in Lion's Arch and in the Shing Jea Monastery. These tend to bring in new recruits for some strange reason...

The Angelic Guard will never require donations of faction, gold, or other items. Our only goal is to enjoy the game and the company of our guild and alliance mates.

Recruitment

NOTICE: During the GW2 Beta weekends we are meeting in the Isle of Jathir. Come by and join in the fun!

Rebuilding the alliance after switching to Luxon in April 2012. The Angelic Guard is currently recruiting active players to share good times with. We are primarily PvE although we do RA, AB, and GvG scrimmage at times. All experience levels are welcome, please contact us in the game or through our alliance forum if you are interested in joining. Prospective members need to be interviewed by at least one officer or be recommended by a current guild member.

We have three simple rules:

• help out when you can
• don't be a jerk; be respectful to your guild and alliance mates
• no racism/sexism/homophobia/spam in guild or alliance chat

This is really just common sense but we feel that it is best to make our expectations clear before any problems arise.
