Traders Of Tyria [Gold] was founded on Feb. 22nd 2007 by leader Smashing Daddio. His goal was to lead a guild of people who were like him that liked to trade, buy and sell, hence the title. It is also a place where new players can learn to play Guild Wars. It is a very family like setting, and a lot of the members know each other in real life, or are related.

Ideals=

This is a guild for casual players that have lives outside of the game and do not wish to log into dramatic situations in Guild Wars.

Guild Values:

  • Being quick of wit and sharp of mind for when fellow guildies taunt you.
  • Must have a sense of humor. Mainly because of the above note.
  • Knowing when and when not deviant behavior is acceptable when out and about as a guild.
    • Example: Aggro-whoring. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's not.
  • An open mind, we have a lot of newer members.
  • We're young enough to have fun, old enough to do it right.
  • Laid back attitude. We all have work, school, etc.

  • No fighting
  • No mooching
  • No begging
  • Represent your guild honorably to Allies.

Recruitment

Recruitment occurs when PuGs are encountered. After determining they may be a good fit, the subject of joining [Gold] is broached.

Management Style

Traders Of Tyria is run largely as a collective unit. Major guild decisions are made by the guild as a whole via town hall method of having a meeting and/or voting. Votes/opinions must have a good reason behind them, or they do not count.
