In August 2007, three members of a dissolved guild - Vargon The Bowman, Monster The Worrior and Alger Fleet Foot - decided to start a new guild in the wake of the old. Pooling their resources, they created Wrath Of The Fallen Order, named in honour of the collapse of its predecessor. Initially only able to find money for a cape, their registration and a bare Guild Hall, WFO soon had all the services available in their Isle of Meditation home.
From its inception, WFO's founder members decided that the guild would be free from the pressures and serious attitude of "power-players", and would instead be open to "noobs" and those with the experience and patience to help them. Becoming famous for their group runs to help less able players get through the harder PvE quests and missions, the guild's stronger players would often create 8-strong, all-human teams around a single character who needed support in a particularly difficult situation.
The guild has always been a loyal Kurzick bunch, since the officers tend to find the tactical approach more satisfying (in situations such as the defence of Fort Aspenwood) than the hammer-blow strategies of the Luxons. In fact, Aspenwood was a firm favourite with the officers for some time (over Alliance Battles and Jade Quarry), as a means of blowing off steam and collecting some quick faction.
Over the years, guild leader Vargon's pet crocodile "Handbag" became something of a guild mascot; many guildies have felt the braver for having not only Vargon's bow-arm but also the mighty Handbag in their party. Vargon's infamous Beast Master builds always ensure that Handbag is a potent and fearsome opponent on any battlefield.
WFO has claimed membership with several alliances in the past, but after leaving a coalition of American guilds (led by the Dust Bunnies Of Death guild) on the grounds that the time-zone difference made it difficult to socialise, the decision was made to establish their own European guild. Two ex-guild members, Flashz Narathar and Jack Blackserpent, asked for their own guilds to join (Shadowz Of The Moon and The Black Serpents respectively), and two more guilds - Obsidian Walkers and Ferret's Unity Of Rogues - were also admitted. The WFO Alliance maintain the same credo as their lead guild: to provide a place for old and new players alike to socialise, teach and learn, and generally enjoy the game.
Recruitment
Wrath Of The Fallen Order is always happy to welcome new members. A good, broad-minded sense of humour is essential, as the guild/alliance chat can get a little silly sometimes! Other than that, a willingness to help your fellow guildies in some of the more difficult parts of Guild Wars is all that we ask.
To request an invitation, please PM one of the officers ingame.
