User:Ab.er.rant is one of the wiki's more experienced editors. During these last few months since the creation of the Guild Wars Wiki, Aberrant has not only been one of the most active contributors to the main article namespace, but he has also been very active in the various policy, formatting guidelines and other internal wiki discussions of interest and importance to the community.

A statement

I accept the nomination. Thank you.

First off, I would say that my experience with being a sysop or a bureaucrat is practically nil. Here is an opportunity for me to learn more about how a wiki functions. As a bureaucrat's duties lean mostly towards what happens amongst the user community, I believe that the most important criteria is how one reacts in different situations.

I believe that policies are what holds a wiki community together, by giving it structure and reference points. As such, I tend to like to push things along in policy or guidelines discussions so that a base can be formed. As I push for consensus, I try to weigh the opinions on both sides and look for a middle point that both sides can agree on. It is easier for people to accept a compromise if you let them all participate in forming the compromise, so that the end result has something that appeases both sides.
