Guild Wars Wiki:Redirects

Redirects are a method of silently diverting the reader from one article name to another, and is very useful for article names that are commonly misspelled or abbreviated.
How to use redirects[edit]
If you would like one article to redirect to another you should use the following code on the article that you would like the reader to be directed from:
#REDIRECT [[Target article name]]
For example, if you wanted to redirect readers of I will survive to the correctly named article "I Will Survive!" then you should add the following code to I will survive:
#REDIRECT [["I Will Survive!"]]
When to use redirects[edit]
MediaWiki will always check to see if a search term matches an article name, and if it does it will display that article instead of displaying search results. For this reason we encourage you to use redirects for the following:
- Lower case names to properly capitalised names: Lion's arch → Lion's Arch
- Plural terms to singular terms: Collectors → Collector
- Names without punctuation to names with punctuation: Charge → "Charge!"
- Short forms of names to the complete name: Kamadan → Kamadan, Jewel of Istan
- Abbreviations or initialisms: DP → Death Penalty (tag with {{R from abbreviation}})
- Extremely common misspellings: Abbadon → Abaddon (tag with {{R from common misspelling}})
- Common spelling variants: Armour → Armor
