Candidate statement

'Sup, guys. I figure this will end in disaster, but it couldn't hurt to try. I'll be the first to admit my laid-back manner and nonchalant tendencies would make me an unorthodox sysop, but I find myself in positions where the ability to use the various tools would be pretty useful, and despite my trolly nature, I'm quite impartial and unbiased when necessary. I think I've been here long enough that you guys should know I don't plan to ruinate anything (any worse than it is, hurr) or try to delete the main page. And if you don't, I can always claim it was a social experiment/troll post (there's a difference?). As a side note, the IRL dramas mentioned on my userpage have blown over quite peacefully, so my ability to contribute will not be impaired (the notice, however, must remain for reasons best left unexplained). —Jette 10:26, 18 September 2009 (UTC)

13. Oppose While Jette's posts in mainspace are all solid contributions (very untroll like behavior btw), I have serious concerns about how he interacts with other users on talk pages. I don't believe we need another "Auron-esque" sysop on GWW, nor do I feel Jette's contributions would in any way be aided by the addition of sysop tools, nor will they be hindered by the lack thereof. -- Wyn talk 01:27, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

16. Oppose. I've had to speak to Jette about his mainspace edits a couple of times, namely for this edit and this, which I don't really think are "solid contributions". It makes me question whether Jette can use edit tools appropriately, let alone sysop tools.
