What the?[edit]
I'd like to suggest that we remove the non-existant user (User:TheomigthySparkles) from this list =P MisterPepe talk 18:17, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- I struck it out for now -- not that I object to removing it, but it might be better to leave the reason visible during this stage. --Rezyk 19:29, 6 July 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like we aren't gonna have a very big field on this one then. --Lemming64 21:18, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Stage 3[edit]
User:LordBiro for the win. —Tanaric 02:52, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Pretty irrefutable, that. - Tanetris 03:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Well, one could argue that Biro's supporters are vapid and unqualified and my supporters should count for more, and thus I technically won the election. Even though such an argument is unlikely, me acknowledging his "victory" avoids the issue. :) —Tanaric 05:41, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Although the "for the win" part makes me think it wasn't actually you that said it. -Auron 05:51, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- I suppose one could... One would have a hard time doing so convincingly, however, as all but five of your supporters are also LordBiro's supporters. And one of those was LordBiro, who apparently felt it was unseemly to vote for himself. At least your RFA is going well... ;) - Tanetris 06:05, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Woot, I win. Apparently I do have some supporters of the community regardless what you people say.--§ Eloc § 06:33, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Heh. I don't see this as winning or losing. The community chooses who it thinks will do the best job, so no matter who gets the seat, everybody wins. I have never sought the position of bureaucrat here, though I'm more than happy to serve in such a capacity again if the community ever chooses. —Tanaric 09:07, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- The supportors of both LordBiro and Tanaric are probably happy with either of them obtaining the status while others only voted for the candidate that they really wanted to becaome a bureaucrat while not directing opposing their candidate's opposition. Regardless, the election went well.--Bane of Worlds 14:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- We are blessed with clear results so far. Seems all our talk about voting mechanisms came up with a good one in the end. =) --Xeeron 09:11, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- What now?--§ Eloc § 09:32, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- We wait for Stage 3 to end and then submit the new bureaucrat's name to ANet. --Xeeron 09:37, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- No, as in what you meant.--§ Eloc § 09:40, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- So far there has be not the slightest bit of controversy who the winning candidate in a bureaucrat election is, which I see as a plus for our voting system. --Xeeron 11:46, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, we don't submit the name to ANet. Since Biro won his own seat back, the only tangible outcome of this election is that we change his term dates on GWW:ADMIN. If somebody new had gotten the seat, the only ANet involvement would be to add that person to the mailing list. —Tanaric 22:17, 20 July 2007 (UTC)
