What might go wrong.[edit]
Best way to see if this'll go through is to ask, how could it hurt the community? And how can we prepare for that? MiraLantis 04:18, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- It is a draft, so edit it to your liking :) --Shadowphoenix 04:19, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know enough about how proxies work, I'm afraid. Never heard of 'em until I started wiki'ing. MiraLantis 04:21, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Support[edit]
Well, I support blocking open proxies, even if it has some small downsides.--riceball 04:27, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- Bah. Doesn't seem to be as simple as flipping a switch as I thought it was. I thought it would be good to annoy the trolls with, but still futile in the end. So if it isnt easy to set up, to hell with it.--riceball 22:37, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Just revive the original proposal[edit]
I'd much prefer you just re-proposed the original proposal. I don't see a reason for the trial period, but if there's enough support for it, it can always be edited into the original. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 11:22, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- I disagree with the trial period - if consensus (i.e. discussion) supports it, why do we need a trial period plus a vote? That makes no sense. If, however, after implementation of the policy (without the trial), things go wrong or it doesn't end up successful or whatever, discussion can decide to improve it or reject it. No need for a trial.
- As for the proposal itself, I think the benefits outweigh the negatives, but I don't have a strong opinion on it. -- Brains12 \ Talk 14:52, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
- This is a draft it can be imporved if you like, I would support this or the original --Shadowphoenix 17:17, 3 April 2008 (UTC)
Deletion[edit]
Shouldn't be tagged with the inactive/rejected tags instead of being deleted? -- Brains12 \ Talk 14:51, 4 April 2008 (UTC)
