Guild Wars Wiki talk:Projects/AI skills usage
User space vs project space[edit]
I think if we approach the project systematically, it would be possible to post some claims and related research as subpages of the project rather than spread it out across various user pages. If only one person is doing the research, then of course it makes sense for them to develop their own methodology and post their notes within their user space.
But if people are sharing the effort, then it's easier to collaborate if folks are using the same/similar tools and posting to the project's space.
I think the project is still in its infancy, so it might too early to decide which direction makes the most sense. It would be helpful if some of the tools were created first (e.g. how to present results systematically, how to present methodology so that it can be repeated by others, ...)... before we decide whether to encourage people to go off on their own or share. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 18:29, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
- TEF, why did you undo my edits? Koda 16:58, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
- Do you mean edits to this article? I didn't mean to undo anything; I was attempting to limit my edit to the quote by Robert Gee. I'm not sure what happened. My apologies. – Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 19:33, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
Where to store users Team Builds[edit]
What I am thinking is a page that contains Hero Templates only. I believe that once such page is saved, linking it in a Skill Test table shall make it easier to observe as it could simply be opened in a new window. Whether this page is located in user space or project space I find no difference. Objections? Yoshida Keiji talk 06:27, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Links to Hero behaviour page[edit]
It is twice at headnote as well as skill list. Also, wasnt Hero behaviour going to be about general overview instead of specific skills? Im confused. Yoshida Keiji talk 19:33, 7 January 2012 (UTC)
Listing for study[edit]
User:Falconeye added several links. I want to ask what is the interest behind. I removed the ones that had no AI skill related subjects. Also I find it troublesome the way it is displayed now because skills were changed several times through the years and I would prefer indications to skills singularly. The history of how each skill was changed doesnt matter. Only the latest version is worth studying here in this Project, so that we can ensure the notes written in wiki are accurate. It all started with Glyph of Lesser Energy. Users were saying that the skill was "bugged", but actually the problem was poor testing. Our goal is clear such missjudgements to not give false information to other who come to read later. Yoshida Keiji talk 04:59, 26 January 2012 (UTC)
