- Can we break into people's userspaces and remove [[s and ]]s directing to non-existant pages, or would that be against policy? — Why 18:22, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- It's my understanding that we should politely ask them first but if they are inactive for a length of time it is up to us the active users to repair the problem. Elric 18:24, 27 January 2009 (UTC)
- See the section of User page policy on Ownership. Second clause allows for edits to correct policy violations, or maintenance edits. This qualifies as a maintenance edit. Just leave a note on their talk page explaining what you did and why. -- Wyn 18:56, 27 January 2009 (UTC)

(Reset indent) How do we ask for pages we think would be helpful? Like a list of something that we don't see (because it doesn't exist, for example).69.182.188.52 20:49, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- If you feel a page would be helpful, and you are unable to find it, simply create it. Please familiarize yourself with the Formatting guidelines of whatever type of page you are going to create. If a page does exist that contains the same information, someone is bound to point it out to you. BE BOLD! -- Wyn talk 20:59, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you for the answer, Wyn. I have tried that before, and been told "that information already exists elsewhere". The person didn't say where, they just deleted the page I had started. I also think there should be like a master guide list, so someone could look under topics within the information of the game, like say "collectors" then they would see a section of information or a list of pages that have collector information on them.69.182.188.52 21:11, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- First of all, try the Quick access links page that is linked in the Navigation box on the left. It contains links to many prominent areas, by profession, by campaign, and by playstyle. You should also bookmark The categorical index. It's a great additional search tool. If you use the Search box, and search for "Collectors" it will take you to Collector that contains links to almost every collector related page on GWW. I hope this helps. -- Wyn talk 21:18, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
Improve Special:WantedPages[edit]
Probably, improving Special:WantedPages by adding some possibilities like filtering pages that are most wanted in or by a given namespace would help to give priority to broken wikilinks in mainspace for example. Elephant 15:46, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
Multiple Link Offending Pages[edit]
If pages like User:42/SmTableGuide - which are copied directly from metawiki - exist with their links preserved, it creates a pile of red link templates and pages - what should be done in these cases? (delete page / remove all links individually?) --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 13:26, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- If the user is still active, request for them to alter it to a direct link to whereever that want to go (if my very poor knowledge serves me right, those should actually go somewhere but not on this wiki). If not active... Probably just remove the links. Konig/talk 16:21, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- Has been inactive since 2009 so I'll just go cutting links out. It was the pre-cursor to the Help:Table editing page. --File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 16:46, 22 October 2011 (UTC)
- Ultimately cleared 216 pages out of the list Special:Wanted Category :D File:User Chieftain Alex Chieftain Signature.pngChieftain Alex 00:25, 24 October 2011 (UTC)
