Inactive

I'm not particularity active on the wiki, but this guild will be active. Is there any way to not have this tagged for inactivity every three months besides updating my page because I can be sure nothing will change in my guild because I don't want to change anything, but I also dont want the hassle of removing a tag every three months.--Amantis 02:40, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

Well, it's just a mechanism we use to check for guilds that have become inactive or disbanded. There's really no other option since there's no other way to check if a guild still exists or that its members are still playing the game. There's pretty much no guarantee that the next person to view this guild page 3 months later will try to first contact you in-game. If that person checked this talk page 3 months later, I suppose he or she can delay the tag indefinitely until you come in to say that you're done with the game, but that too is hard to guarantee. -- ab.er.rant 02:54, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

The guild page policy is pretty clear that any guild page that has not received an edit in 3 months will be tagged, and then you have 3 months to remove the tag before it gets moved into historical status. I don't think one edit every 3 - 6 months is that much to ask for. It's to ensure that the information presented is current, obviously things with guilds change often, so it shouldn't be that tough to come up with something you can change on the page in a 3 month time period. -- Wyn 03:14, 4 December 2008 (UTC)

The point I'm trying to get across is things will NOT be changing within this guild often as I am the only member and its on an alt account(ie. NOTHING will ever be changed). But I can come in every 3-6 months and say something on the talk page, will that be sufficient?--Amantis 21:49, 11 December 2008 (UTC)

Really flipping annoying to have to keep removing this, cant I get a pass or something, its not gonna be updated as nothings happening "things will NOT be changing within this guild often as I am the only member and its on an alt account(ie.
