Gw.exe

The executable file Gw.exe is the main part of the Guild Wars installation. It is the game installer, updater, loader, and client all in one. The program connects to the ArenaNet servers on start, creates or updates the Gw.dat and any registry settings if required, and starts the game.

You can use command line arguments with Gw.exe to modify the game behavior.

Notes

• To install the game on multiple computers, it is possible to just copy this file and the Gw.dat file into the same folder, instead of having to download the game again on each computer.
