Is it just me or is anyone else getting tired of answering the smae old questions, as well as the fact that new wiki'ers never use the search bar? (or at least, most of em dont)--Raph Talky 13:30, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- I have to agree that I am getting sick of all the same questions. I wish there was a way to make users read what's on top first, but I doubt that would happen. Oh well. Calor 14:06, 13 April 2008 (UTC)
- highly agreed on that. I've seen way too many repeated questions, and I'm starting to get really sick of answering them. it seems the FAQ is nonexistant now.... -- Wandering Traveler 14:07, 13 April 2008 (UTC)

The Solution[edit]
I think this should solve our problems.
This is what happens when you don't read the FAQ first! |

Unofficial tech support page[edit]
Should we split off a separate tech support page? -- Gordon Ecker 02:07, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- Are we talking for topics like "error 058 help plz"? If thats the case, I'd support that. We'd just have to make sure they post there instead of the game question, which seems to be a minor problem. -- Wandering Traveler 17:30, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- And topics like the this one about a graphical glitch. -- Gordon Ecker 02:57, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- FAQ would be good. The more we split up these "Ask a question" pages the more it's starting to feel like a forum... -- ab.er.rant 07:19, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- If we do branch out the help pages a bit more (e.g.: "Help:Ask a technical question" or some such page), should we have a help home page, so to speak, similar to the setup of w:WP:RD, where there are links to and short descriptions of what each help page should be used for? calor (talk) 18:06, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

- I disagree with the initial suggestion. Having that three help pages is more than enough looking at how many people still fail to post their problems to the correct page or even look up in the FAQ first. And more split-pages means more moving, and more moving makes everything here more messy. poke | talk 18:31, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
- I was thinking of using the unofficial technical support page for issues which are too narrow for the FAQ and support might not necessarily handle, such as "how do I run Guild Wars on Linux" or "how do I run Guild Wars with my unsupported video card". -- Gordon Ecker 01:31, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- I think this is a good idea, but how many of these questions would we actually be able to answer without referring them to official support? The way the account help page is right now (in my view), it seems that maybe 67% of the questions either get referred to support, to the FAQ, or the error code page. I guess I'm speaking in-line with what Poke is saying; do we really need another page to monitor if the majority of the questions will be referred? --tero 03:53, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think a separate page would be productive. It would mostly be pointers to support, or bad technical advice. Judging by the amount of noarchive tags placed on this page, that one would be even worse. Biscuits 16:30, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

I need some help, please? :D[edit]
I can't figure out how to use this new weapon template, in a character template. Can someone help?--Unendingfear 17:30, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
- I'm not quite sure what is it that you want, but Equipment Templates, unlike Skill Templates, can only be used by PVP characters. You'll have an extra icon in your Inventory screen allowing you to save and load templates. — Poki#3 (talk) 18:25, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
problems with the game[edit]
i emailed tech support but thought you might know or could help too. this weekend I and alot (and i do mean alot) of other people playing lost faction points when they transferred them to their alliance. i earned over 70k and lost 20k in transferring. today everyone in aspenwood kept getting logged out in PvP battle there and when they logged back in recieved a dishonorable. This happened to me also i was logged out 6 times in 1 hour the last time i recieved dishonorable. that time 3 other people got logged out at the same time in my party and they all recieved dishonorable also and they said they were missing faction points they transferred also. My guild has 10 alliances and 3 million + faction points i went to alliance chat to talk to them and the same thing was happening to alot of them also. is there anything you can do? i had a problem with a skill missing awhile back and emailed game support and it took almost 2 months to hear back. any help or suggestions at all would be greatly appreciated. I told some of them to email game support i don't know if they did i know everyone in my guild has. I had someone leave a very rude comment on my talk page and on theirs when i answered them because i went to the 3 people that have helped me with things in the past hopeing they would know what to do or have advice. this person accused me of spamming because i asked the 3 that have helped me so i wonder if i will get accused of spamming again since i asked the question here.--Jenn 03:18, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Posting the same thing 4 times, why would anybody say you were spamming? BTW I have a reply to you on Wyns talk page. Drogo Boffin 03:23, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
- Um you were the one that told me to post it here so I did. After the fact you came at me the way you did basically calling me an idiot, O thats right you did say I was Idiotic and redundent didn't you not to metion the cut down about my reading level, for asking the only 3 people I knew to ask. Like someone told you you were close to NPA the way you handled it and came at me. You were rude, hateful and was not asked by me for help.--Jenn 05:19, 27 July 2009 (UTC)

New modable greens[edit]
Will they get removed from the game or atleast their unfair mods removed? They provide an unfair advantage in PvP. It's not cool. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Waar Kijk Je Naar (talk).
- Nvm it's fixed already. People who bought those for alot of ecto's are screwed. :D --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 86.87.127.239 (talk).
Official Forums and Game questions[edit]
According to Community Portal talk from Stephan and the anet team, They'd prefer Game questions be "rerouted" to the forums, but everything old to stay here and not moved. I think a message at the top that new questions are to go there, but to make sure to check the faq first, before asking the questions. We fix up the faq to fit with all questions accordingly that's been asked (and be sure that each answer is clear). I say we lock both the game questions and faq. Put a note in faq that no new questions are being accepted and that if the user cannot find the answer, to go to the forums. Sounds like a repeat of accounts, but basically is the same... 72.148.31.114 08:04, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- This page would have to be deleted if they want that to happen, because 90% of the people asking questions don't read the warnings. –Jette 13:45, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- They can put an infinite protection on it to keep users (like those asking questions) from editing and then the users would have to pay attention. X-) 72.148.31.114 13:53, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
- There's no section on the forum for game "help", only bugs. Don't need to bog down the devs with simple stuff we can answer ourselves (especially since they have closed threads in which people asked questions about the game, telling them to check the wiki). --ஸ Kyoshi 19:38, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
