“This camp, just outside the ruins of the fabled First City of Fahranur, is headquarters to the Istani Provincial Excavation Corps. Fahranur, decimated and abandoned during the Scarab Plague, was the ancient home of the Primeval Kings who once ruled all Elona. Some believe it also holds the key to the mystery of the Scarab Plague's origin. Superstitious fears and a bitter rivalry between the Excavations Corps and the Society of Engineers have kept work on this important archealogical site stagnant until recently.
— in-game description
Jokanur Diggings is the base camp of excavation operations into the old ruins of Fahranur. Diggers, engineers, and researchers have come to examine the ruins.

Notes[edit]
- The world map actually marks this location with the icon for an outpost upon initial arrival. It changes into the icon for a mission outpost only upon completion of the quest that precedes the Jokanur Diggings mission.
- Complete exploration of this area will yield a little under 0.3% to the Elonian Cartographer title track.
Trivia[edit]
- The world map icon for this location interestingly shows the tomb marker of Palawa Joko (the one found in Jahai Bluffs) inside the scaffolding. It is unknown if there is a hidden meaning behind it or that this was a simple image reuse.
