Redbar

Redbar refers to the ability to heal on demand. While some healing is powerful but conditional (such as Vigorous Spirit), it will not save an ally from spikes or even focused pressure; the backline will have to rely on skills such as Word of Healing, Mend Body and Soul, Patient Spirit, and so forth to bring ally's health back up (to make the health bar more red). Similarly, while prot can have as much or more effect as healing, a missed or failed prot will bring an ally closer to death. For this reason, many PvP backlines consist of one Healing Prayers Monk and one Protection Prayers Monk.
