A renewal effect is a game mechanic that resets the duration of relevant effects under certain conditions. Some skill descriptions use the terms reapply or refresh.
Game mechanics[edit]
- A skill that renews itself becomes the newest effect in the effects monitor when its renewal effect triggers, which can make enchantments and hexes that can renew themselves difficult to cover.
- Lyssa's Aura, Vow of Revolution, Kinetic Armor renew themselves before any enchantment would be applied, and as such can be covered when using those.
- A skill that renews (itself or by recasting it) does not end, so skills such as Meditation or Vow of Piety will not trigger when an enchantment is renewed.
