Talk:Ancient Scythe (common)
Color of the rarity[edit]
I was buying this set of scythes (common / uncommon / rare) and an user inside the game told me that each version of the scythe has a different color, which are: common (blue), uncommon (purple), rare (gold). I have 2 of 3 already, and I can confirm that the "rare" is gold and the "uncommon" is purple, but I still don't have the "common" so I can't confirm this statement entirely. Can someone with this scythe (common) confirm it, please? —Scribeton (talk) 14:00, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- I think you're refering to this:
Item rarity borders can now be toggled on via a new option in the General settings. This will color the item's border match to the rarity of the item.
Note: This does not affect white or blue items.
- Which was added https://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Feedback:Game_updates/20190205 in 2019. Unless you're refering to the color of the item name (see Item rarity then)? Steve1 (talk) 14:14, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- Ancient Scythe has the information on this and I can confirm that blue rarity (and therefore likely also white) is the common skin. That at least verifies the rarity defining the skin, unless someone has one of these skins in the 'wrong' rarity. I have never seen that happen in the past fourteen years of Nightfall, personally. - Infinite - talk 17:52, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
- Yes! That is what I wanted to know, thank you Infinite. Now I can see the explanation in the general link that you provided: "The common skin is found on items of white or blue rarity, the uncommon skin is found on items of purple rarity and the rare skin is found on items of gold rarity.", so what the player told me was true. Mystery solved then, thank you both. —Scribeton (talk) 20:38, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Drop research[edit]
01 / December / 2020, a Desert Wurm (NPC) in The Sulfurous Wastes [Hard Mode] dropped me a white Ancient Scythe (common). —Scribeton (talk) 14:04, 1 December 2020 (UTC)t
