this really suck right now compared to Frigid armor which is exactly the same but can be kept up all the time, doesn't end if you use fire magic and make you immune to burning, even armor of mist is better as it gives 40 armor against all damage not only physical. --Cursed angel 08:42, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
- I fully agree, this skill with its recharge time is really crap vs. FA. Something must happen here ^^ Oh I forget, IT ENDS if you cast fire spells, so Steam without immolation Glyph is not possible in a build with AoF --80.121.115.9 23:47, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
- You also forgot about something like Armor of Mist, which not only adds about 40 armor, but this armor is not just vs elemental, AND you get a speed buff. I think this needs a buff. Perhaps hexing those that hit you with a speed debuff? StatMan 20:04, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
- you also seem to forget that it is an older skill from way back when GW was fully balanced and when there were no other really good ways to get a physical defence as a water ele

I agree that this skill has to be buffed. I also think that in general Prophecies spells pale to Nightfall, because it isn't equipped to deal with assassins. As a Prophecies character I can't expect to last long against them unless I invest in Protection magic or Balanced Stance. In other words, this is one of those skills that are useless and should be buffed to level the playing field for characters like me that no longer stand any chance in PvP. What if: 10 en, 1s cast time, 30s recharge: "Enchantment Spell: For 10..24 seconds, the caster is covered by a protective layer of frost. The frost converts all physical damage (as in from foes and allies) in touch range into cold damage. The layer of frost also grants the caster with +20..40 armor against cold damage, and -20..0 armor against fire damage. Ends if the caster inflicts fire damage."
- This gives armor of frost a more diverse role. As Armor of Mist doubles as a running skill, Armor of Frost would double as a cold weapons upgrade, or make Mantra of Frost (/ Winter) more effective.

- Maybe you might consider that not every skill in the game is intended, nor needs/is possible to be, balanced against all others. There's this thing too many people choose to forget which is the concept of incremental progress. Not every player has instant access to every skill in the game from the outset. This is a stepping stone skill, just like many others which are outstripped by better, but similar skills, that become available as you move through the game. It doesn't have to just be Non-Elite vs Elite, end of sentence. Kruhljak 18:17, 15 January 2011 (UTC)
