Talk:Assassin armor
Formatting not official[edit]
I'd just like to mention that the formatting I did on this page is not final. I just needed something in place to put images onto the wiki. As armor policy is laid out, I'd imagine the layout will change to reflect the final decision on how things should look. --Emily Diehl 20:05, 23 February 2007 (EST)
- Woah! Tnx Emily, those images are stunning 0.o ~ Kurd08:24, 24 February 2007 (EST)
- Best Armor Gallery Design ever.....wish all other Galleries look like this --Murdoc 10:40, 25 February 2007 (EST)
- Oh, just wait until the formatting gets done and the pages get built. They will be quite lovely I'm thinking :) --Emily Diehl 20:33, 26 February 2007 (EST)
Character model[edit]
I wonder if they have chosen Naruto-like model to demonstrate the armors on purpose...
- Actually as far as I can tell, Emily has no way of changing the model at all, so it's just the default that loads in her program. :P - BeX 08:34, 2 May 2007 (EDT)
Thank god for EoTN armor[edit]
All the armor sets aside from the first 3 and the EoTN ones are absolutely hideous and utterly impractical! I'm sure a few people like attaching all those blades on their body, but to make every single high-end armor set like that? Now if only Zenmai can get some of the EoTN assassin hero armor.. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:71.134.121.254 .
- The Elite Luxon isn't that bad. Genji 18:44, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
- Asuran is super bladey. - BeX 22:58, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
Luxon chinspikes <3
- Opinions differ. I honestly can't stand any of the EotN assassin armors. Compared to earlier ones like Elite Luxon and Vabbian they look kinda cramped up and not sleek/sneaky enough. Especially Norn. Why does Norn look that way? Where's the fur? The giant poached tusks? xP Just doesn't fit. Bathory talk 23:47, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
X.x[edit]
The only two "basic" looking skins are Canthan and Obsidian. I'm one of the people that like a less-bladey armor, and Canthan's getting old.
I'll have to settle for Deldrimor for now.

I totally 100%....wait 1 Billion% agree with what your saying, im sick of pointy armours, assassins arent meant to be spikey and stuff, they are meant to have a suit that can meld into shadows and hide from things.....giant spikes arent gonna do that lol, i have a combo in mind, but alas i cant afford it >.< Darren Blacktail 09:58, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
I agree with you guys!! The blades with some clothing bits attached to it makes for hideous armor!! Sin armor needs to be more sleek, less pointy ;(

- Well, at least we know we if less the potato peeler all we have to do is find the nearest elite armor set for assassin. o.o Honestly, Arenanet's armor designers really need to think a bit harder before passing it off. "How do we make this armor cool?" says Designer 1. "How about we attach enough metal to it gives them they get iron poisoning?" replies Designer 2. "BRILLIANT!!!!!! Here, have a pay raise!" 000.00.00.00 19:47, 6 April 2009 (UTC)
The Suitung looks ok when you use a canthan shirt. Its a shame that all the female armor is either ugly, spiky, or skimpy. - Xinlum
- Let's petition them to remove the blades, or at least provide a version without the blades. I mean I understand not creating new armor because that requires art resources and everyone's tired up with GW2. But to _remove_ a portion of an image is probably not that hard. So, why not provide a version with (for those that already have it so they don't lose it if they like it) and one without for those who really want to buy the armor without the blades? I'm avoiding doing any new armor because I don't like what's there. For that matter, I don't like how the dyes are applied to the armor I'm using. Just all around sucks for me. Too Modern[edit]
is it me or is this armor really modern, in this day and age (refering to Factions day and age) shouldn't they be more Cloak and dagger? like dervish with hoods etc? what'll they look like in GW 2? will they have lazer mounted wrist guards and night vision goggles? - "Quick, I need a hit of diazepham so I take out these Charr!" Firoas. 19:16, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Assassins RUN like modern commandos / infantry (at least as seen in previews of things like Rainbow Brothers' Far Call of America's Gears of Batttlefield Strike Honor), and a few of their armor pieces (Obsidian, Seitung) remind me of Metal Gear Solid 2, but you know, they never really felt out of place, either. *Shrug*. Except for the ones that have more blades than Oxford has vines, maybe. Those are freaky O_o. But still 'fantasy'-ish. --Star Weaver 19:59, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- Well, that would be our continuation of reality. =P Maybe their version of cloak is like...giant spike arms. Granted, doesn't make much sense to us, but it probably makes a lot more sense than a cloak to them. Bathory talk 23:47, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
- It is remarkable how the answer to "what'll they look like in GW 2? will they have lazer mounted wrist guards and night vision goggles?" is yes. - Infinite - talk 23:38, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
- Beautiful, isn't it? You can just pinpoint where that game went to shit. --DefinitelyNotHanz (talk) 19:04, 5 October 2017 (UTC)
Prestige Chart[edit]
It didn't have one. So I put one in. Please correct it if a value is wrong. ^^ Bathory talk 23:47, 29 May 2009 (UTC)
Batarang!?[edit]
Look at Anton's Brotherhood armor. Attached to his right arm. Totally looks like a batarang. Lulzy. Just thought I'd point that out. For The Quin 19:27, 22 June 2010 (UTC)
EoTN Armor Colors[edit]
Just so everyone knows that all EoTN armor doesn't pre dyed in red as per pics.
Also if anyone is wanting to achieve the same red density then you'll need to dye with a red+red combination. 188.222.74.71 18:04, 30 October 2010 (UTC) Tutis Evito
Thief Armor[edit]
From GW2 looks 999999999999999X better than any sin armor in the game, instead of getting practical assassin armor in GW1 (or at least normal leather armor), we get spikey, lame looking armor. SaulWolfden 09:50, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- Unless im mistaken the Thief shares armor with the other medium armor professions, so its also the ranger and one of the other tba classes armor. 80.34.113.211 14:17, 17 March 2011 (UTC)
- Which means it is technically impossible for them to give Thieves cruddy armor - they'd have to give thieves, rangers, and TBAs all cruddy armor, at the very least. I think this solves the Paragon and Assassin problems very neatly. Yay. =D --76.166.187.131 06:55, 22 March 2011 (UTC)
