Talk:Blazeridge Mountains
Screenshot[edit]
Can someone upload a screenshot of the ruins mentioned in this article? 24.188.207.20 04:38, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
Cant be seen on the map anymore. They removed it when they re-did the prophecies/gwen map. I put the lil note in originaly and wether or not its actually a ruins doesnt really fit with the new map. you can see an old map in our map section or use this link: http://gem.users.paivola.fi/GW/Tyria100%25.jpg You will find it directly east of the Thunder Head Keep mission where the mountain snow gives way to rocky ground. --Justice 07:40, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Not being able to see typically indicates blindness. Brail keyboard by chance? Justice 09:53, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
- gtfo, just tell me where that shit is on that map coz it looks like simple fog to me... - Wuhy 01:14, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
I already did tell you, look harder Justice 07:03, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
- meh, just download the map, mark it with photoshop and upload! omgomg - Wuhy 18:36, 19 July 2009 (UTC)
And I owe you that effort why? Im not saying there is a big city there with houses or anything, its just some small stadium like stucture. Stop looking for the great pyramid. Justice 18:49, 19 July 2009 (UTC)

Garden[edit]
Is this where the simple garden is located that Thackeray talks about? Then Ebonhawke? Tong2 15:15, 16 May 2010 (UTC)
- No. There is no way Thackeray would be able to pass by to his garden between missions if it wass in the Blazeridge Mountains, seeing how the Ebon Vanguard are far north of Ascalon, and the Blazeridge is far south of Ascalon. -- Konig/talk 00:04, 17 May 2010 (UTC)
East/West[edit]
Sorry if I'm confused here (not unusual for me) - the text says: "'where the eastern Blazeridge Mountains merge with the western Shiverpeaks', the Blazeridge Mountains may also constitute the mountainous region seen to the east of Ascalon."
Ascalon is to the east of the Shiverpeaks. How is looking east of Ascalon going to view the Western Shiverpeaks? Seems the merging of the eastern side of a mountain range with the Western Shiverpeaks would be closer to Kryta. Of course, East and West may be opposite to our world, that I do not know.
Perhaps it means "where the Blazeridge Mountains in the East merge with the Shiverpeaks in the West." This would, indeed, suggest the mountain range that goes from East Ascalon around South Ascalon to the Shiverpeaks, connecting with the Crystal Desert. - I note a double confusion here. Firstly, the note maker didn't read the line correctly and it should be read "the Blazeridge, which is the eastern mountain range of the two, merges with the eastern side of the Shiverpeaks, which is to the west of the Blazeridge" - I see no reason to think the Blazeridge is to the east of Ebonhawke. Secondly, you, IP, misunderstand the note maker as the note maker meant the Blazeridge, not the Shiverpeaks, is to the east of Ascalon. -- Konig/talk 19:00, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing it up. I guess I stumbled onto the right interpretation in my last sentence. Cheers. 66.170.212.17 19:24, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Except for the "east of Ascalon" line. I made a typo and put Ascalon instead of Ebonhawke (fixed now). We're not even sure that is a mountain range east of Ascalon and not just shattered grounds due to the crystals. -- Konig/talk 19:36, 20 May 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was the guy who made that note. Since the part of the article I took it from was talking about Ascalon, I assumed it referred to the mountain ranges in relation to it. Still, looking at the map, especially the pre-EotN version, the mountains do appear to stretch northward, creating a sort of basin for Ascalon to lie in. I'm guessing we'll find out soon enough. – NuclearDuckie 14:31, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- It does, but if you note to the north it is the same - the area between Ascalon and the Charr Homelands look like mountains. Now, if you've ever played Gwen's Story, you'd know there are no mountains, just hills, and that takes place right at the supposed mountain range. I.e., Ascalon is a crater now. -- Konig/talk 20:38, 27 May 2010 (UTC)
- I see. There still appear to be steep hills to the east in this map of pre-Searing Ascalon, but whether that's enough to constitute a mountain range in the same sense as the Shiverpeaks I'm not sure. – NuclearDuckie 09:21, 28 May 2010 (UTC)
- All we know is that those are not flat, truth be told. Are the mountains? A canyon? Just a destroyed plain? Hills? We don't know. Too many possibilities. Even if they are mountains (which the pre-searing map may be outdated, as a lot changed between the original and current Tyrian maps), do we know they are the Blazeridge or is it another mountain range? -- Konig/talk 02:42, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Well, as I said before, we'll likely find out soon, as I hear the Guild Wars 2 world is going to cover much more area than it currently does, as well as more being explorable. :) – NuclearDuckie 08:04, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- OK, looks like it's been confirmed here. Good to know. – NuclearDuckie 06:58, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
