Blindness is useless[edit]
There are no attacks of any kind in the snow ball fight, so adding the Blindness to this skill is meaningless. The only possible use would be to put a cover condition on to prevent Yellow Snow from removing Dazed or Crippled. Not that they'll change it this year, but a different condition that meant something would be nice. Maybe use Cracked Armor and adapt it to make Snowball and Mega Snowball do more damage. Of course, an unfortunate side effect would be that the change would make the name of the skill inane. Garrick 17:57, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- Snowballs are all fixed damage, cracked armour would do nothing. --Ckal Ktak 09:02, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't blindness also increase the change of projectile spells straying, so it's not a 90% miss like a melee attack, but it does increase the chance of missing. At least it seems to suggest that from the description of blindness. 141.14.133.231 09:20, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
- That's why I said the Snowball and Mega Snowball could be adapted, so that they do more damage to foes with cracked armor. Garrick 19:22, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- Basically if you get blinded just run next to your enemy--70.105.27.220 01:15, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- In other words it's a rather useless profession-specific skill 207.81.230.48 10:30, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- You're kidding right? The interrupt makes it potentially the best one. The blindness just kinda tells the opponent that you used it, if they weren't paying attention. --66.190.15.232 10:57, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- What he said. It isn't as good as the unconditional snare that the ele has, but it's one of the better ones (leagues better than para, ranger or warrior skills). - Auron 11:16, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- In PvP perhaps. Fairly pointless in PvE. Unlike the ranger skill. Backsword 18:05, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- The necro's skill rocks in PvE. - Auron 07:55, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Re: 66.190.15.232 -- Please re-read my initial comment. I wasn't saying the *skill* is useless, but that the blindness is useless. Players should not need the blindness to know they've been interrupted. Either get rid of the blindness or make it a different condition that means something. (All of this is in regard to the snowball fight arena, of course.) Garrick 00:45, 22 December 2009 (UTC)
- Blindness makes projectiles easier to dodge and more likely to stray. How is that useless? -~=Ϛρѧякγ (τѧιк) 23:17, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
- There are no projectiles in snowball fights only spells(you can't attack with your weapon),such as snowball and mega snowball and they won't miss due to blindness, only if you dodge them,so i agree blindness is useless here 95.180.76.188 11:15, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
- ^Snowball and Mega Snowball are projectiles. The chance of projectile spells straying increases (if you strafe/dodge) if the target is blinded so it's not completely useless. --ScorpySEH 03:06, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Snowball and Mega Snowball are projectile spells which are not affected by blind. --Silver Edge 03:24, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- For anyone in the future reading this projectile spells stray more with blind. 108.52.22.165 22:44, 24 July 2012 (UTC)
