Talk:Body Shot
Take that, monk in the picture! Heh, but is the energy really necessary? Seems like this skill could be more creative than that. --Heelz 03:45, 21 July 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not liking the whole Cracked Armor thing. Cramming all of these Cracked Armor skills in on the last chapter is just bleh. --Deathwing 04:40, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

The question is, how common is Cracked Armor going to be? If the condition is too common, it really hurts Warriors and Paragons... if the condition is rare, it makes skills like this one useless. ChaoticCoyote 02:35, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
When you see that monk youll be thinking "-Man! Anet really hates monks with +26 armor shields." Biz 15:36, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

Body Shot. You shoot 3 million arrows and that foe dies, then that foe leaves the game :D--Blahishness 16:50, 30 January 2009 (UTC)

- Just use broadhead arrow lol, instead of having a conditional daze shot and an addition elite to feed that conditional daze. lol

The energy gain doesn't really make sense though. I would've preferred Deep Wound. Goes well with the skill name and concept, and hey, I want to do Deep Wound. :P Arshay Duskbrow 00:16, 26 July 2007 (UTC)

- Why is everyone always going on about r-spike? A useful bow attack = imba spike? For crying out loud aren't bows SUPPOSED to do damage to a single target? Flight time, ease of evading, lower AS than most other weapons they SHOULD do damage. Dancing Gnome 10:39, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

I think it's fine as it is, as long as someone in your team is applying cracked armor and you know which enemy has cracked armor on them, your getting a net gain of 6 to 8 energy every time you use it. You can easily get 2 or even 3 pips worth of energy out of this skill in PvE. I put this on all my ranger heroes whenever I use a cracked armor skill. It's a non-elite prepared shot that is less dependent on high marksmanship, but requires a little teamwork. Hm, shouldn't prepared shot be added as a related skill? 66.41.46.226 17:43, 12 July 2009 (UTC)
Erm..[edit]
With only about 5-7 skills that can cause cracked armor, this skill should probably cause it. Here's what i think..Rename it and re-write the effect:
E:5 Recharge:8 Blunt Shot. Bow attack. If this attack hits, you deal +5...17...20 damage and your target suffers from Cracked Armor for 5...11...14 seconds. If target foe is already suffering from Cracked armor, you gain 5...9...10 Energy. You couldn't keep up the Cracked Armor on a single target since you would get energy instead, and with 8 seconds recharge it still isn't too spammable to spread on mobs in PvE. Shyke Lightning 22:16, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- Izzy seems to be wanting a dynamic of having to utilize multiple professions to cause and then exploit Cracked Armor, so I don't see him deviating from that any time soon. (Aiiane - talk - contribs) 00:23, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Fine by me, that was just a suggestion... since theres about 6 skills for 4 professions that will cause it... though having a bow that can deal slashing or blunt would be cool xP.Shyke Lightning 01:41, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- I agree with the idea of creating that "dynamic", but...in that case there REALLY have to be more skills that can cause Cracked Armor...how about a pet attack that does it?24.186.207.198 21:46, 26 July 2007 (UTC)
- Make the old Poison Arrow give Cracked Armor, thus making it and this both useful again. +damage from this, E-management so you can spam that and use this again....72.161.115.13 04:05, 8 February 2009 (UTC)

Translation Suggestions[edit]
To avoid some bad skill translations i'm opening a comment for new skills so everybody can post their translation suggestions in various languages, have fun :) --YukoIshii 23:27, 1 August 2007 (UTC)

Spanish: Tiro al Cuerpo. Ayumbhara 06:50, 11 August 2007 (UTC)
- Two years later... In french, it's translated "Coup corporel" which means "Body blow". "Tir corporel" would be better. --Frozen 11:55, 13 October 2009 (UTC)
bad name?[edit]
this name doesnt even relate to what it actually does. Also the lack of skills that cause cracked armor is very small as its a fairly new condition. For an improvement i think maybe the should add it as - this attack deals ... more damage and if foe has cracked armor that foe also suffers from a deep wound for ... seconds. this would make this skill make sense and make it more useful again. Although it may be a little overpowered and spikes would hit extremely hard so maybe once the deep wound is applied the cracked armor ends or something like that.
- You don't want to give rangers access to deep wounds. Misery 20:36, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Sundering Weapon[edit]
If used with Sundering Weapon, will Cracked Armor then apply before nrg gain so you get the nrg? -Mikkelet 08:20, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
- Yes. It's sort of a waste, though, since you'd get like 1 net energy gain. Vili 点 08:24, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
