Talk:Brother Mizar
Grammar[edit]
In the first line of this article, "A priest of the 5 gods, he's not happy with the worship of the Unseen Ones," the comma as of this edit seems like a classic w:Comma splice. Go on, read the wikipedia entry. /drum fingers. Anyway, you'll find that one of the ways of relieving this error is with a semicolon. Yes, I will debate grammar over this, and will take a label of pedant for this. If grammar fixes are worth reverts on this wiki, then...consider me wrong. If not, I expect an apology written with a dodo quill upon the bark of a retro-morphed amber scroll. Okay, maybe not that. Just hoping to clarify before casting the dark shadow of a revert of an edit of Zerpha's. --Chaiyo Kaldor talk contribs 21:34, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
War in Kryta[edit]
I just met him right outside the Temple of Ages, defending it against the White Mantle in a small skripted event
- Any Screen Shots?--Neil2250 , Render Lord 13:07, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Thanks, ive also noted this guy (with a little help from a monk) can destroy the enemys like a level 20, this is probly due to the fact lore-wise hes a worshiper of the gods, and the gods gave him Strength (most likely from balthazar) --Neil2250 , Render Lord 09:19, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Prerequisites[edit]
There's definitely some sort of prerequisite to see this. Myself nor a few of my friends can get it to happen. --141.158.120.201 22:20, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- yea i cant get this to happen either. EDIT: you just have to rezone a zillion times.- Zesbeer 23:52, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- I couldn't get this scene to spawn until I did the quest he had in the Temple. 203.118.171.134 00:43, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I took the quest, but never got around to doing it. The first time I zoned I only had 4 members in the party and no scene appeared, second time I took the quest and figured I'd do it, filled my party with henchies, and zoned out. And there they were. 188.123.27.192 03:53, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I think that's just your good luck. I zoned at least a dozen times with my mesmer that has done all those quests and never got it, came back later with my assassin that hasn't done any remotely related quests or finished proph (has finished eotn) and got it right away. I have read in a few places that it requires only completing proph or eotn, though yesterday people were saying supposedly you had to watch zinn's trial first. Lillium 09:33, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- No need to watch Zinn's trial. I got the spawn last night on my third zone and I haven't been to Zinn's trial yet.72.235.159.124 18:06, 10 April 2010 (UTC)

"I am the law" Look's like a take on Judge Dredd's best known line. Sadly it was horribly mangles by Stallone in them movie adaptation. Buddah668 07:51, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, it looks like a Judge Dredd reference/homage/shout-out. Worth a Trivia note? --Morgana1 01:51, 7 January 2011 (UTC)
Passive Protection[edit]
He's got some kind of passive protection that heals him without casting spells. You can see this if you watch the fight without helping them. All of the other allied npcs died, while Mizar held off two enforcers single handedly. Sadly, after a few mintues his passive protection wore off and he died. There was no additional dialog.98.124.1.229 17:52, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
- It seems that he got an infinite version of Protective Spirit, like Mhenlo in Norn Fighting Tournament; the same got all participating Krytans. Unfortunately it's hard to verify because nobody living casts this skill, it's script-generated. --Slavic 09:20, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
- Recently I did some more careful tests. Obviously, he is under the infinite enchantment (this can be seen by surrounding aura), which he gets from the source outside of his skillbar : "Our gods give us strength!". Because of this, the moment of enchanting is not visualised under his health bar. I suppose that he may get 2 enchantments at once. First, almost certainly, is equal to Shielding Hands with high enough Protection Prayers (12+). Because it's infinite, the end effect of healing never happens; it's not possible to "overwrite" his enchantment with your own Shielding Hands. Second one is more hard to define, it looks like Reversal of Fortune or more likely Reversal of Damage, also infinite. Mizar is able to inflict some damage (rarely, when he is not knocked down) to Peacekeepers without any weapon or attacking skill, I think that it's an effect of his enchantment which reflects damage and can sometimes break the damage reduction of Peacekeepers. Combination of these protections makes him virtually invulnerable (without the cheating Invulnerability skill :) and the only effects that he can suffer from are conditions, like Deep Wound. Currently Peacekeeper Enforcers don't have any enchantment remove skill, so he is able to withstand very long time. His allies Krytans are protected too, but much less; it seems that they have the infinite Shield of Regeneration. Again, because the source is external, this enchantment cannot be revealed using Arcane Mimicry. Combined with their Healing Signet, it's a very good protection against a single Peacekeeper, but two or three kill a Krytan anyway. --Slavic 11:31, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
Updating Completion[edit]
I had some issues getting this to appear and then update as completed in my game log so the next interaction would appear. First, I discovered that if you haven't been to the Shining Blade camp to initiate the dialogue about the attacks then these guys won't be here. Second I had to watch this scene outside TOA like 4 times to make it update and have the next once outside Bergen appear. First time as soon as I had killed the enemies and the Mantle dude had run off, I mapped to Bergen, ran outside and the next scene was not there. I returned to TOA and went outside and this scene was there again. Tried it the second time, mapped to Bergen, ran outside, second scene still not there. Returned to TOA the 3rd time, this time after killing everyone, I talked to Bro. Mizar, and then mapped to Bergen, ran outside, still no second scene. Returned to TOA the 4th time, killed everyone, talked to Bro. Mizar, waiting for the Krytans to walk back inside TOA, then walked back inside myself physically instead of my mapping, talked to Bro. Mizar inside TOA, mapped to Bergen from TOA, went outside Bergen and finally the 2nd scene was there. So I don't know if it was waiting for the Krytans to walk back inside, me walking back inside, or talking to Bro. Mizar inside TOA that made it finally update, but was annoying. Anyone else having issues? Oh and BTW, after watching the 2nd scene outside Bergen, I can't make the 3rd scene initiate. I know the 2nd one updated cuz the 2nd one isn't there now when I zone outside Bergen. Any help making the 3rd one in Watchtower appear? (98.179.8.157 13:11, 11 April 2010 (UTC))
- The 3rd one in Watchtower was actually the first one I saw on my Necro. I just walked over to the spot and the Dialog started. Then I exited and entered ToA 4 times, and that dialog appeared. I have never been to the Shining Blade camp on my Necro, but did beat Prophecies and EotN. -- Arduin 13:58, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
- Well weird...maybe I just need to zone on the 3rd one a few times more til it appears (98.179.8.157 20:08, 11 April 2010 (UTC))
- From what I've seen I believe the spawning of the people at all three locations is random. I've too had them spawn without first having been to the Shining blade camp. I believe the only prerequisite is to have finished either Prophecies or EoTN. At all three locations sometimes I will see them there and sometimes I won't. Also, there is no certain order you have to go to them in. At any one of the locations, if you just keep zoning, you will notice that sometimes they will be there and at other times not.Zimmleanna 04:01, 13 April 2010 (UTC)]
- He finally appeared for me. These scenes being random is annoying, means I have to repeatedly fight my way to where scene should be outside Beetletun. 14:58, 18 April 2010 (UTC)
