Problem is, if you find a way to smuggle them in there, you will more than likely meet the other end of the ban stick... that, or be forced to sear. So the true answer should be "they can't, since you can not make these weapons in pre-searing".--Fighterdoken 19:33, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

best place to farm

well the best place to farm is to do strength of snow quest then abandon it and do it again. got 27 shards in one go and you have a chance of getting the mini bear!

Not necessarily, A run through Snowball Dominance can last 2~3 minutes when done well, where a run through Strength Of Snow can take about 10~12 minutes, Even at lowest efficiency you will get more on average doing fast runs of snowball dominance, however luck isn't always on your side in snowball dom, nor is it in Strength of Snow, so this is debatable, but you're always guaranteed 10 shards from SD, whereas not always "27" wil drop from SoS 'kills'

I agree. In addition to 10 shards, Snowball Dominance will give you 5,000 Experience, 500 Gold, 500 Vanguard reputation points and 5 Frosty Tonics. With a decent team, you should be able to clear it in less than 2 minutes; some users are even reporting clear times under 1 minute. Yeah, you lose the chance to get a Miniature Polar Bear, but you never really had a chance in the first place.

I mean, the game 'Nine rings' costs 10 festival tickets (10x15 gold = 150 gold)

Interesting. I salvaged 25 candy cane shards with an expert salvage kit, and received 1 Pile of Glittering Dust every time. I'll try another 25 to confirm or shed doubt on the rumor. --Threid 04:31, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
