Whoever keeps deleting this, stop. This is a player-run event that is being run by my guild and is like any other player-run event on the Special Events page. If I'm wrong, tell me why it should be deleted. Face of Oblivion 20:39, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

It usually helps to leave a notice explaining the reasons for removal on the user talk page. Whoever moved it before, didn't bother with that for some reason.

The main difference i can note between this and other community hosted events is the duration and the notability of the event. Unless i am mistaking something, the "great giveaway" is only "1 black dye total", which pretty much you can do it without anouncement, or organization, or wiki article, and worse than everything, it will be done in 5 minutes.

You should think on improving the event so it is noticeable enough as to merit an article. Be it increse the number of first-prizes and give them out within a certain amount of time, or make this a recurring event (ie, weekly), or switch from a giveaway to a "first to collect random junk wins" type of contest... anything that can take this event out of the "5 minutes duration" category.--Fighterdoken 20:51, 25 March 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for telling me. I was getting annoyed at this being deleted. To what you said Fighterdoken, we realized a few days ago that one black dye was really a small prize. So, we added 2nd and 3rd place prizes. And about making this recurring, we were planning on doing this again. We were gonna wait until after the event to advertise a second event, but I might as well say it now so this isn't deleted again. I can't tell you if we do this weekly or monthly because me and Bookah Nukah do other things besides play guild wars, and we don't know when we have free time to do this. It actually never was deleted. It was moved to User:Face of Oblivion/College Of Autumn Blood First Ever Black Dye Give-a-Way, and then to User:Face of Oblivion/College Of Autumn Blood First Ever Black Dye Give-a-Way/2.
