Ranked only add to titles?

I just won a HB in an unranked game and it did not seem to start me up on the title. It was my first every try at it, and I am thinking that since the update only Ranked games progress you in the title. Laforge 22:52, 5 April 2007 (EDT)

Cobra commander?

The school International Studies Academy, in Potrero Hill, San Francisco, California (conveniently close to ANet's headquarters o.O) has a cobra as its mascot. Nathan Cox, on of the sports coaches (he coaches three sports as I recall...), calls himself the "cobra commander" when he's not using his real name. Easy Title Farming?

Isnt it just possible for a semi decent player to work their way up the rank system, and then wreck their own rank and start again? this way they will be farming easy commander points right? --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:84.64.82.177 .

It's possible, but they would have to spend a good amount of time throwing matches to get themselves back down to fighting "easy" opponents again. It would probably be more effective to just lose to high-ranks (not hard), and beat lower ranks (also fairly easy). Wing Commander

Wing Commander is also a US Military Positional Title for the Colonel in charge of an Air Wing. Still probably a reference to the game though.

Final tier?

I wonder if anyone has even Rank 11 yet? If they did, they could see what the next rank is from the title bar... Which is probably Rank 12 Legendary Commander. Any guesses? The Titles will be left as they are. Think of it as your Survivor Title after you get r2 and die. There'll be a new Title introduced to support the new format. You may display your Commander Title or the new Title in your HoM - not both together. A F K When Needed 18:04, 19 October 2009 (UTC)

Title removal

HoM statue

I was in the middle of progressing this title when they shut it down. I think that they need to let people with at least tier 1 get the credit for their partial work before it was closed. I also gained tier 1 without the stupid rolling, so it's seems a little unfair. --Lustre Of Havoc 話 19:39, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

I doubt they'd use a reference like that, and the Legendary prefix is consistent with Legendary Sunspear, but I can't personally prove it. ~Farlo Talk 02:34, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

Why wouldn't they? Most of the other ranks are references to something. All other ranks are not consistent with other PvP titles so I would have expected r12 to be something different aswell.60.234.197.191 04:57, 28 May 2011 (UTC)

I changed it back to : "is consistent with" seems inconsistent with the level of proof we require for other data in the wiki. Heck, we even require a screenshot before documenting Nick's latest (if not here, then at guru or Guild Wiki). I don't think there's any lasting harm if we are slow posting Legendary Commander as the title; I do think there's a minor credibility hit if we post it prior to the label being confirmed. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 05:22, 28 May 2011 (UTC)
