Copyvio?[edit]
Is this a copyvio from GuildWiki, or did both get the text from ArenaNet? --- Barek (talk • contribs) - 18:49, 24 June 2007 (UTC)
- GuildWiki is suffering a Copyvio from us. →[ »Halogod (talk)« ]← 00:03, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just shy of four years late! elix Omni 00:15, 21 June 2011 (UTC)
Sigh[edit]
Another wonderful plot-line that has been destroyed... I think once they're done masturbating over GW2 they should write some books expanding what was started in GW1. Such as the Envoys.
Also, are we to assume that the other four envoys looked the same in their lives, as Shiro did? Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 06:44, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
- I don't know what you mean by "destroyed" - forgotten, maybe. But destroyed? As to your question, that's most likely, though I have a feeling that there's not meant to be a spike in that one guy's head when he was living... -- Konig/talk 15:51, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
- Forgotten, yes, a better word. It's a shame, because the envoys seem like something that is universal to the series, and not just a part of Factions. It would be nice to learn more about these "wicked criminals." Since Shiro was dastardly enough to join their ranks, it sparks a great deal of curiosity as to how wicked these individuals were. And of course most importantly Anet can make money off of selling another book. Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ аІiсә ѕνәи Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ 19:59, 7 September 2010 (UTC)
Envoys: Spirits or Demons?[edit]
4 of 5 have their type set as demons; im confused. --Falconeye 22:04, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- In lore, they are very much spirits. I question how they could possibly have their type tested, considering they are only met during cinematics. Clearly, either people are guessing or a dev told us.
- WAIT! Take a look folks, come one come all. Another case where Backsword fucks stuff up. Emily Deihl - a former Anet employee - made the articles and listed their type as "Envoy" but Backsword went and changed them! Yeah, I'm going to change them to Envoy except Shiro unless there's a different reason behind your edit to that, Falconeye. -- Konig/talk 22:28, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
- Because 4 of 5 envoys had their type set as demons. So I errored due to an error, how annoying. ^_^ --Falconeye 23:08, 26 February 2011 (UTC)
Summon the Envoys[edit]
using the emote(s) /guild = Courier Torivos, /guild 1 = Emissary Heleyne, /guild 2 = Herald Demrikov, /guild 3 = Messenger Vetaura. --Find And Seek 01:09, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Correction: /guild=highest ranking available. /guild 4=Courier Torivos. I can't get /guild 5 or higher, but I doubt that Torivos is the highest ranking. -- Konig/talk 01:13, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Interestingly for me /guild 1 = Emissary Heleyne, /guild 2 = Courier Torivos, /guild 3 = Messenger Vetaura and /guild 4 = Herald Demrikov (this is my default using /guild and my guild is N/A rating 1000). Perhaps it's still a little bugged. We should get a page for these emotes anyway, and if there is please send me a link. Oh and also, /guild 5, /guild 6 and /guild 9 gave me Demrikov. Mal 09:26, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Even more interestingly, N/A rating
pvppve guilds get access to most emotes while guilds with damaged ratings get less emotes for trying. Zencow 09:35, 3 June 2011 (UTC)- Higher rank shows multiple envoys. --The Holy Dragons 10:10, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- I was mistaken on who's who - Torivos is /guild 2 and Demrikov is /guild 4 for me. @Malive: It's most likely due to the ladder reset that most guilds are viewed with a higher rank despite the rating or not having done any GvG. Basically it's most likely a situation of "everyone gets a taste for now, but the tastes won't last long!" -- Konig/talk 14:52, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Just a theory, could th emotes change according to the rank more like Zaishen ranks then Hero ranks? The dev update says "you will need to fight your way back to the top if you want that emote in its full glory". Might not be that likely but on the other hand, would the #1 have exclusive access to one of the emote? For some reason it wouldn't make sense, doesn't really make it that much more interesting. Mal 15:17, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- It changes based on the ladder, not a rank. There's more than the four discussed above as Holy Dragon pointed out. -- Konig/talk 15:33, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- I just did a GvG match to see what would happen (and for the quest) but now I've only got Emissary Heleyne on /guild 1 and Courier Torivos on the rest (my rank is now 180, that's what you get with the current ladder reset after 1 loss). Mal 16:44, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Something I noticed with testing - if you do a number higher than your rank, then you just get your current rank. So 180 is within the rank 2 range. -- Konig/talk 17:52, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- But the thing is, even if your rating ranges around 1000-???? you still get up to /guild 2 thus you have less emotes than the N/A guilds who can do /guild 4 which is really buggy. Perhaps I shall guild hop around other GvG guilds and test it out hmmm Zencow 23:49, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- It's due to the ladder reset - those without ranks are counted in the ~50 rankings, or some such. This will naturally be fixed as people continue to GvG and the ladder is altered. -- Konig/talk 23:51, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Oh well, at least we got to be on obs mode more. Ok, at around rank 50 my /guild 3=Messenger Vetaura worked and at around rank 30 my /guild 4=Herald Demrikov worked. Zencow 08:15, 5 June 2011 (UTC)

(Reset indent) /guild 5 available to rank 1 guilds summons all four envoys at the same time. Zencow 05:59, 9 June 2011 (UTC)
