HCT 10%[edit]
These staves seem to have HCT of all spells (10% chance) instead of the usual inherent mod for staves (HSR of all spells (20% chance)). --Combatter 09:47, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- I felt that kind of odd too... Yamiingenkon 09:50, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah seems odd ... surely HSR 20% is more useful than HCT 10%? --Combatter 09:51, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- HCT is useful while in PvE yuletide, because you can mod a staff to HCT 27,1% (does not work while in PvP yuletide). Maybe it's also useful to play Ether Nightmare. In all other cases, this staff sucks. I hope they change it to HSR 20% and add those staffs for all attributes. --numma_cway 00:24, 4 June 2011 (UTC)
- Really useful for Assassin's Promise builds and Soul Twisting, where HSR doesn't give any effect. --User:InStars 14:02, 7 June 2011 (UTC)
- Not so useful for Soul Twisting imo as the skill bar is likely to contain quite a few Binding Rituals which are not spells and therefore are unaffected by HCT of spells mod. But yeah I can see the potential for Assassin's Promise caster builds. --Combatter 10:33, 8 June 2011 (UTC)

Primary attribute linked[edit]
It would seem to me that, in general, a primary attribute linked staff is inferior to one that is linked to the attribute that you wish to specialise in. For example, "Aptitude not Attitude" is a common inscription to apply to staves but most of the time halving the casting time of primary attribute spells is not very useful. --Combatter 09:47, 3 June 2011 (UTC)
- I'm struggling to see the use for these staffs as well... seems they are more of a gold-sink (people will buy the coins off other players, then proceed to use all the coins, so I guess it is) and aesthetic pride show-offy thing than a practical weapon. 50/20 enchanting staff for spirit channeling rits and PnH monks? I dunno. 90.206.126.30 14:52, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah agreed, it's really more of eye candy and street creds. I'd still want the 20% half recharge chance for things like PnH and SC. 96.233.188.166 17:56, 26 October 2011 (UTC)
- Primary Attribute weapons are good for specialty situations, like having a +energy set or +health set; one in F3 the other in F4.llandale 23:33, 17 April 2012 (UTC)
Eerie Staff[edit]
This staff looks a lot like an ethereal version of an Eerie Staff, anyone else see the resemblance? Jeree95 (talk) 21:36, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
