Talk:Essence of Celerity

These consumables should be called "legal cheat items". It allows players to continue playing badly and still do it with the help of these items. I would prefer a meaningful and entertaining way of increasing the odds and making the player better at the game in the process. Ah well. I do not have to use it, after all. Maybe till hard mode comes, to compensate for my lack of skill... and there should not be any items compensating for that, IMO. This is why I do not like the EOTN consumables. --Longasc 13:48, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Eh, I dunno. They're certainly not helping improve the skill of the playerbase, but I for one like them. I rarely use them, but this one is cool if only because you usually have a lot of terrain to cover in any given PvE area, so it's nice to speed up the wait between fights. And the Powerstone of Courage has been a long time coming, and I think that's perfectly reasonable with so many long dungeons, now. Fighting the end bosses with high DP is basically suicide. Parties with only one human player benefit from them as well, and the bonuses are really useful since it's hard to make them do smart things like walk out of meteor showers or scatter before that damn scorpion uses his siege.

I absolutely love these. As a paragon its my job to keep party alive with protection and healing chants, and mobile with "fall back". These gwen consumables freaking rock for that. My role as team protector says "I MUST HAVE THESE" and i just go ahead and stock them on my belt pouch ;-) --Justice 18:24, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Good thing these can't be used in PvP ;P — Eloc 22:23, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Uhm yeah kinda obvious too tho. Dark Morphon(contribs) 14:46, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

I just noticed something. I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. But I was vanquishing in a wurm and used one of these. My stupid Master of Whispers ran into rocky territory and jump out of the wurm. I went to the nearest spoor to get him back but had to leave mine to get him back in. When I got back into my wurm I lost the effect and had to use another one. I wish I had know this before time :( 66.183.116.229 08:20, 27 August 2008 (UTC) DoD

The rarity of feathers[edit]

Almost nothing drops them apart from the odd Tengu and Griffon as demonstrated by Category:Contains feather. As you may have noticed the trader price of feathers is now a lot higher than any other common material because of this. --LemmingUser Lemming64 sigicon.png 13:58, 17 February 2008 (UTC)

Saw them going for 7.5k a stack in LA earlier. --24.9.234.253 14:14, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Tengu farming incoming? lol--Ryudo 10:09, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
EotN has increased the price of feathers because of Silver Eagle armor and these very addictive consumables. Generally speaking, I can make a stack of feathers in 3-4 runs in a typical "farm whenever, no pressure" day. It's a good way to make a few quick bucks without searching for tomes or greens. Just by helping a friend with Nahpui Quarter I can get quite a few feathers. — Eloc 15:42, 15 May 2008 (UTC)
I've been soloing the tengu in naphui quarter as of late. Getting about a stack of feathers a run.... --User Wandering Traveler Oie User Wandering Traveler Sig2.png Wandering Traveler 05:25, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Recharge bonus stacks?[edit]

Just wondering, does the 25% recharge bonus stacks with skills such as Quickening Zephyr? If so, any ideas if it applies before, after or adds up with Quickening Zephyr's (or any other skill's) recharge bonus?

stacks until 50 % if i'm not mistaking so it stacks a bit Lilondra 17:28, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Will the IAS/IMS stack?[edit]

Well?Mason717 19:40, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

NERFED[edit]

Wave to the UWSC! 98.207.210.93 03:20, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

That's stupid, an undocumented nerf to it... My guild and I were just about to get into an UWSC, when one of our regulars (outside the guild) messages my guild leader to tell him that it was reduced to 20% (even though it shows 25% in the description). We weren't sure, having checked the update notes, but we went in, and quickly realized...--99.241.76.164 03:55, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
It's not such a big deal, stop acting like it's ruined your life... You can just put Glyph of Swiftness in the terr's builds, use a A/N for Vale, use and A/Me for Chamber, quit whining... 04:17, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
if people would stop using acronyms to describe everything... Anyway, the undocumented change on this item is rather disappointing. Much like other PvE skills, they have no worldly effect on other people. If people opted to use it, that's their choice. I don't know why the change is made when it doesn't affect other players. I certainly don't use it often nor depend on it. So shouldn't this, along with others, be left alone? — Sixshot 04:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
It was part of the OM...deal with it like the rest of us are! -- Inspired to ____ 05:37, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Then again, not completely nerfed, I just done 2 successful speed clears in underworld so... --Stokoe Talk 06:19, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
yea add in the other cons and shadow arts is 17 and your good again lol

Just realised this..[edit]

..with these now(bit late for this to be posted but oh well) being put down to 20% from 25%, enemies in NM now do not run when you try aggroing. This means that you don't have to walk backwards to get the aggro you want and can still enjoy a movement boost and skill recharge and all that with the lower HP of NM. Albeit maybe less drops and less quality drops, but if your farming stuff like ectos NM/HM doesn't matter at all. --Sam6555 14:11, 22 April 2009 (UTC)

Its called essence of celerity not essence of celebrity. I feel dumb.the_decline 10:33, 6 December 2010 (UTC)
