JQ Bots, a list

The following characters are pvp characters, have a single class (with one exception), use the default skill bar of a pvp character of that class (Charge!, sever artery, healing signet for warriors, for example), only use the yellow portal, only target the nearest enemy, never take evasive action, never speak, and start and stop moving randomly. I believe they are bots, and I am tired of getting dishonorable for reporting them as leechers.

Rotscale toughest monster, little reward

Me and some friends beat rotscale today i nNm and Hm hes ben an obsession of mine as of late the lrod i cant find, the fact that he wiped out my best heros in 10 secodns Nm and left me in a locked battle for 10 min before he oblterated me, we had fun and a few of us got his bow but im wondering a few things, since hes actualy tougher thne abbadon, the lich, and shiro in terms of difficulty, why isint there a title or HoM statue for killing him, i mean i beat them all and i honestly think that in NM hes tougher then hm shiro, so will there ever be a title or monument for beating rotscale.--Lord randy taylor 23:35, 2 March 2009 (UTC)

I agree Rotscale is way to hard to only be a "boss-like" foe. No other bosses in the game can stack the odds like that thing, I was very pleased with my collective party when we finally killed it in hard mode (after using 2 consumable sets + party wiped 2 times with a full group of humans) --Stack 18:33, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Maybe you can help, NCsoft support doesn't seem to care.

Hi Gaile, I recently contacted NCsoft support about a player I had previously reported. I was happy with the results becaue the player was permenantly banned. However, that player decided to purchase an account from another player which voided two rules in your EULA. First one, you can't buy accounts from other players, 2nd one, you cant return to GuildWars EVER unless you get written permission from an NCsoft/ANet employee. When I sent in this ticket, I got negative results from what seemed to be a bot because he didn't give me any feedback whatsoever. I provided him the exact sections of the EULA the person disrupted, as well as telling him how to pursue to banning him (I said to check the I.P. for the account, if so possible he would see the I.P's of the two different accounts match, and that the second account originally had a different I.P. if they can look that far back.) The reason the person was susspended in he first place was because of extreme harassment involving him telling me to kill myself and somehow obtaining my personal phonenumber and spamming it in the most active districts in the game (Kamadan, Heroes Ascent, Lions Arch, etc...)

zaishen guards

I dont know why idk if this is because of a zaishen quest but when i was ready to zone into sunspear great hall i found two zaishen guards walking outside...is this a bug? --Peterpoho 13:39, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

Aparantly they still exist. I tried to create the a guild with that exact name since I thought "Vagina" would at least be cencored but no, I get the error message telling me that a guild with that name already exists. DrogoBoffin 06:56, 7 July 2009 (UTC)

You'd think they would apply the same censoring options to guild names as they do for player names. I'm pretty sure you can't use "vagina" or "gaile" when making a character. ~Shard 04:29, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

I didn't realize there was NO filter in Guild Naming. I would imagine they will be adding one similar to the character naming filter soon given that particular instance and it being posted up here.~>Sins WDB 05:27, 11 July 2009 (UTC)

Is this legit?

I got a email today from a person at a company called "Artefact."

"Dear ______________,

Then it goes on to instructions to how to get there... etc... etc... A bunch of people got the same email as I did from the same person from what I have read on Guild Wars guru forums. Can you confirm this for us?? Thanks. :)

Armor

i just wrote this on the armor page discussion and would want for you to look at it,since you are someone who has a voice in the Anet community and i really admire you for that :)...i think this suggestion isn't bad since when i started out playing GW Nightfall was already out and i got fond of the dervish class and i played it since.I have lots of titles maxed and when GWEN got out i was so happy with HoM,a place where i can place my achievements...So i got to more title maxing,doing elite missions,buying minis,hero armor and weapons,when i realised that the drev class didn't have all prestige armor i can place in HoM...after around 3 years of playing i felt so bad about having to start with a new class just so that i can have all prestige armor...Hopefully me and other players will get heard and i will have my wish come true ^^...Here is what i wrote so if you can i would be eternally grateful for helping out... :P

"Anet please add at least prestige armor to the previous campaigns,and by this i mean D/P/A/Rt armor in prophecies and D/P armor in factions...I don't understand the point of account-wide HoM,and HoM armor display when some professions don't have all armor and others do,i want my derv to be able to show all prestige armor,not having to make a new char just so i can put all armor in my HoM...and i do love my main derv char so you could make a contest like it was suggested but it is really pointless being able to play prophecies and factions missions with nightfall characters and not to be able to get the prestige armor...As i figured all campaigns meet at the point when u reach LA/KC/Kamadan after completing Istan...It didn't say that prophecies happened before nightfall when i played,or that i can't do prophecies missions because they already happened,i hope this is reason enough to add some armor,i mean when you can play nerf/buff with skills,maybe thinking about doing something that everyone will appreciate instead of playing with us people that like this game...And i think that a major update that doesn't involve skills is due since there wasn't one in a long time..." 95.180.43.70 12:35, 13 September 2009 (UTC)

New Upgrades (Makeovers and Names)

I just want to say I think the option to change the names of the characters is a great addition, especially if people who get banned for offensive names are allowed the chance to rename the offensive name character, but the extreme makeover pack is not satisfying.

I changed the gender of my male mesmer Llewelyn Staciakiir and renamed him/her as Lia Staciakiir and did the same to my female elementalist who was originally Lia Staciakiir (i had given one of them some other name temporarily so I could just keep my names). After all of the money I spent on the 2 gender switches and 3 name swaps I am greatly disappointed that not only does the armor they were wearing still have the original name on it, but so does any armor I create or purchase since.

I do not see any other way to return or even complain about this issue. I do not like having armor Customized for Lia Staciakiir on my Male Elementalist who is now named Laucian Staciakiir.

I would like the opportunity to get my characters back to the way they were before the purchase, and if I may use the money that I would get back to have additional character slots (and if there is any left over after 7 additional slots I would like as many xunlai panes as I have credit for at that point).

With my solution, Anet does not need to give back any money, as I would rather have the characters anyway, I just want my old characters back. Is there a way we can arrange this? --Stack 18:23, 21 September 2009 (UTC)

Divine Aura

Hello. I have been asking this everywhere without single answer and even sent E-mail to ANet, why my Divine Aura is not working? First I bought Guild Wars Nigthfall Colelctors Edition and did /special and I got Varesh minipet. Then I bought Factions and after that Prophecies Collector's Edition. Past Event hats

I believe it would be great if you could purchase the past event hats from the online store for those who are new to Guild Wars or simply missed for 1 reason or another. Any one else have thoughts or any input on this? Gaile I hope you see this and post something as well or maybe pass this onto the right channels so it may soon appear in the online store. Suggestions for the game should be posted in Feedback space, and your posting on Gaile's article not her talk. Regina has stated in game that once a festival is over, it's over and the hat is then no longer obtainable, so I don't see that happening. — PmaN  00:59, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Cape Emblems/Designs

Hey G-Morning Gaile/All :P, (Since its am here atm)

Anyways am gunna start by saying I'm not sure if these should be posted here but anything is worth a shot I guess :P, I was wondering if it was possible to ask if there was any way that we could get some new cape emblems/styles added to GW1 before release of GW2?, or would it be too late into the games History?.

I've been playing for an avid 6yrs and still love the game to bits (with over 27k hrs I should do right? :D) but I'm now starting to find it hard to come up with cape designs for special events such as Halloween, Pink Day etc... So would it be at all possible to request some new designs or emblems?.

Gayle Grey NPC in Lion's Arch

There is a new NPC in Lion's Arch called "Gayle Grey", a level 2 ranger. I believe it was added with the Wayfarer's update. Her dialogue is as follows: "Some years ago, my best friend and I set out on a journey through Tyria, and what adventures we had! Conga lines, parties with friends, amazing holidays, and oh, so much more! Except from PvPers who they regularly shit on in forum posts and in-game interactions. Gray was never popular with that section of the playerbase. PvP crowd cheered when Gaile's account got hacked by that german guy and spammed swears in GM chat. -Auron 21:11, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Yeh gonna second Auron here. I also dont really think we need to list who was liked and who wasn't as a) its somewhat oppinion based as theirs no way to really objectively tell this is the case other than anecdotally and b) it feels like a low key way of implying that current support isnt up to gaile's "standards". I will also say from my personal recollection, Gaile being strongly liked is not a statement without some ceontention. Many even within the solely PvE community found her appaearences ingame with the frog, to be some what self indulgent hype trains... where very little info got shared and a whole lot of spamming took place. I would say all those are side points however as I really would be very much against starting to document how liked anet staff members were/are, as it just feels very gossipy. -- Salome 04:08, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
