Holy Wrath? - Bug or Not![edit]

I'm curious whether Holy Wrath has been nerfed wrongly. Looking forward to opinions.

FYI, Holy Wrath never did dmg to the source before.

Thanks.

lol sign comments plz, and also whats the bug.. er change? --Lou-SaydusHow dare you put that damned dirty thing on me! 23:40, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
As I understand it, Reversal of Damage is now reflecting back to the smiter and not the 600. --Valshia 23:45, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
So, farming murakai now needs healing breeze on the smitter? oh wait no, they die in 4 seconds. --User rayd sig.pngRayd 00:15, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Check your Skills and attributes, on Holy Wrath folks: The NEW nerf says: Enchantment Spell. While you maintain this Enchantment, whenever target ally takes attack damage, this Spell deals 66% of the damage back to the source (maximum of 5...41...50 damage), and you lose 10 Energy.

That means that - the caster NOW (a.k.a smiter), takes damage when he bonds up a 600, killing himself as user=[Rayd] mentioned.

hang on.. what are u talking about? The old Holy wrath goes like this; Enchantment Spell. While you maintain this Enchantment, whenever target ally takes attack damage, this Spell deals 66% of the damage back to the source (maximum of 5...41...50 damage), and you lose 10 Energy. It has been this way for long and is still? where's the change? --Cursed Angel talk 00:38, 13 February 2008 (UTC)
(Edit conflict) Holy Wrath is the same description it was before. It isn't dealing any damage back to the smiter itself. It's Reversal of Damage as I stated before. I just tested it out in Cathedral and 1) The smiter only takes damage when a Crypt Banshee in present, 2) The smiter doesn't die, let alone in 4 seconds. --Valshia 00:51, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

The change is that the caster now takes dmg for every time the 600 or bonded person is attacked. That did NOT happen before.

goes off testing... mention it on izzy's page or something --Cursed Angel talk 00:49, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

So, What does any of this have to do with the update? Axel Zinfandel 06:55, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

After the almost heart attack after reading this, I tested Holy Wrath and it seems to work fine. I was the smiter and I wasn't taking dmg. --MageMontu 07:49, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

Only reversal of damage is damaging the smitter, not a big deal... --User rayd sig.pngRayd 08:21, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

The bug has been tested thoroughly. It works exactly as it says in the update notes on wiki. Reversal of Damage deals damage to both the controller of such effects AND to the affected player (in this case, the controller of holy wrath/retribution as well as the person it's on.) It is not a bug with Holy Wrath. Holy Wrath still works perfectly, as does Retribution. Shard 00:13, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Vengeful Weapon Takes now hp from "smiter" too. Quindecim 16:42, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

After being the 600 in CoF a few times, RoD is *not* hitting both 600 and smiter through HW/Retri, only the smiter. It simply doesn't show in up in the damage monitor for the 600. --Valshia 20:10, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Can we get a clarification/confirmation how this works? The note is going into a revert war, more or less. Does it damage both or just one, and in that case which one. - anja talk 10:56, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
Reversal of Damage test1.jpg
I don't think it's disputed that the smiter takes damage with this update. That's what got people stirred up. So the question is whether the one enchanted with Retribution/Holy Wrath takes damage as well. Well I just concluded a controlled test in scrimmage with an alliance mate, and the answer is no. If RoD did damage both in this situation, the one enchanted with R/HW would receive two damage packets, one from the triggering attack and one from RoD. However the attack damage is the only thing the 600 gets hit with.--Valshia 19:26, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
