Essence of Celerity changed to 20%?
Crazy update guys...I thought the skills were supposed to be tonight? If that is all the skills changed, I'm kind of very disappointed. --69.69.161.57 03:22, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Its not all the skills... That is on the 13th. And where is the Essence of Celerity change coming from? I just looked at mine and it says 25% --Mashav 03:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Use the Essence and it will be 20%.
- was it just the movment speed and attack that got reduced or did the recharge get Nerfed as well? 75.165.100.59 05:25, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

Reporting RMTs[edit]
So should a real-money trader (see Real-Money Trading Policy) be reported as a scammer or spammer? 05:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well, I guess they must want them reported as a scammer, because usually when someone actually scams you, they leave the district so you can't report them. - Byakko 06:55, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I tried to report one RMT lately, and it's true the district changing of these scammers enabled them to 'hide' from my report. IMO, anet should remove these district barriers from such reporting. Just like cross-district team joining works (by moving the invitee to the leader's district). --|pixy| 08:34, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- I hate the RMT's but maybe ANET should police their own game instead of putting this brown-shirt stazi style enforcement tactic in place? Not trying to violate Godwin's law here just pointing out the common sense flaw in having hormonal 12 year old's dictate who is violating EULA policies as opposed to paid employees. 98.219.48.111 16:50, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't make any difference. Reporting someone does not lead to an automatic ban - someone from the Support team (which I think is made more of NCSoft people than Arena Net people for this kind of thing) takes a look to see if something wrong has actually happened. The "hormonal 12 year old" may report as much as he wants, but if he only reports things that aren't violations, he will be only wasting time. Erasculio 17:21, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Its being used as an ideological cudgel on all chat Erasculio. Whether or not the kiddies actually hit "/report" or not is irrelevant. The system wasn't set up so certain people could threaten others just because they don't agree on x,y, and z. Or am I wrong? 98.219.48.111 18:57, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Let them be reported, no action will be taken against someone whose only "violation" was not changing his build because the party leader demanded him too. Hopefully action will be taken against the guy making the report, given how threatening people and using the /report function this way is a way to disrupt the game. Erasculio 21:18, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- "Abuse of this feature may lead to your account being suspended." Yep, you read that correctly. Noobs who just spam random reports for nothing don't last long.

QQ[edit]
Yea, you managed it. Now Smiting Prayers is better than Blood Magic in PvE! FIne strike =P. Really, weren't there more important things than something like that? Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 09:11, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Protip: It already was.

Anet doesn't get it.[edit]
Expert's Dexterity is not what makes rangerspike so overpowered. SniperFox 10:32, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- If I get it (and I cannot claim 100% certainty) it aimed non-bow rangers as well. However, wouldn't "while wielding a bow" and your mentioned skills been better? Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 10:40, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Sniper, you don't rly think Izzy will ever nerf Rspike? We all know he loves rangers. They will always be a class that is a bit more equal than other classes. ^^ Cheers, --82.83.32.183 10:52, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Well you cant have ED + Glass Arrows and this is to nerf the ED turret lolpewpew ranger not r spike... oh and the lame ass dagger ranger. Theres been plenty of time to nerf HA r spike and he hasnt so I doubt he will. Also the main problem imo with r spike is the hella defense and holding capability it has... Divine 11:26, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, 3 monks + vital weapon + Defensive Anthem is the problem with rspike, not the r's. -Auron 12:04, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- If the combination of rangers and stacking +dmg buffs wouldn't be so powerfull, you wouldn't have room for 3 monks in the first place. SniperFox 13:24, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- How do you use Expert's Dexterity with Glass Arrows?
- Arcane Mimicry. --82.82.179.217 04:46, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

This is pretty funny. They were worried about heavy damage with a bow with Read The Wind because it had spike potential? (Laughs)!... This means no one is using the "newly" Shields Up! against projectiles! But don't tell that to anyone! They might buff back the elite.--ShadowFog 04:55, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
- Oops, heavy-spec non-maintainable buildwars skills suck. But don't tell that to anyone! They might stop crying about necessary nerfs. --76.25.197.215 05:54, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Avatar of Grenth[edit]
Wow, they FINALLY fixed the cold damage modifier... about freaking time. :) Hollow 13:51, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's been wanting a change for a long time. How many people do you think came up with some clever build using the cold damage (I dunno, maybe Avatar of Grenth + Conjure Frost?) without even realising that it wasn't actually working? :-)
- Actually wanted to use a spinal shivers build for a while without using a cold weapon. Now I can try it.72.15.84.217 13:09, 8 November 2008 (UTC)
Wow, disappointed yet again[edit]
I seem to be constantly disappointed as many of the prophecies elites are still yet to be rebalanced. instead they would prefer to nerf stuff and fix bugs which ( for the most part) cause nerfs too. Wouldn't it be better to make skills which see next to no use alot more competative in nature instead? all that stuff in anet interaction skill balancing section doesnt seem to be looked at very often. 86.158.70.93 17:22, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
- I too would like to see more underused skills buffed a bit, but I have to conceed that bug fixes and nerfs to certain skills do have a higher priority. These updates are all good in my opinion - Vampiric Spirit was making Blood Spike just too awkward to kill, and they've fixed a lot of bugs that needed fixing. I do wish that there were a few more skill tweaks here, but according to some above posts, this isn't the big update this month anyway, and if that's true then I'm more than fine with this. I guess you just have to be patient a bit longer :-).
Coming update[edit]
Although i am excited about the new huge update coming up, i'm also a bit worried. I'm thinking this might be the last update until GW2 comes. Anyone got the same thoughts about this? It might be just me, but i just think this update is Anets last GW1 action so they can fully concentrate themselves on the new version coming up... --82.176.174.199 23:33, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
- Highly unlikely. Considering that they very recently assigned Lynsey as a permanent person for GW1 as well as a programmer. I think we can expect minor updates every month. Maybe not something on the same scale as the coming update but who knows as we still have the HoM updates coming too and they have been confirmed to not be included in this coming update. -- Salome 23:35, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
