I'd rather have the game updated successively, even if excessively, than delayed due to meticulous bug-searching and internal testing. --SetandSpike 05:14, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

- Linsey (I think it was her) also said once, that there are bugs that simply don't occur on their test servers. That's probably why they're forming a new test team. 145.94.74.23 07:08, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

- How does that change the fact that bugs supposedly dont always appear on the test server? The new test team will use the test server too if i read it right. Justice 08:26, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Use colons before your message to make it look less annoying.
- The test servers suck for finding live bugs. The staging servers are supposed to be identical to the live servers, but unless Anet does zero testing, I don't know how these bugs (heart of shadow, brace yourself) still get through. ~Shard 08:31, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I would imagine that the testing team is significantly smaller than the live playerbase, meaning that we catch a lot of what the testers don't simply due to our sheer size compared to the testing base. It doesn't mean they don't do any testing, its just that we have a lot more manpower. Drago 16:08, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Considering that ANet is making their living only by selling GW, without monthly fees, it's a miracle they are still updating the game so often. Testing and bug fixing takes a lot of time. Nothing is free in this world. Mediggo 06:11, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Wheres missing RP?[edit]
How many updates we will have to wait till we get our missing reward points? next maT is in few ays and we didnt get points for the last month. Support doesnt help at all - my question (sended in Friday) still has status In progress. What is goin on? Will we get the points or the case is already forgotten?(Titus andronicus)
- where does one report that anyway, i haven't gotten anything for the last 3 months...
- Anet better give us compensating points for the June Tournament in which we aren't able to make our prediction due to this silly problem that they're not fixing... 83.163.0.32 13:44, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- You guys need to back off. The points are not a necessity, sure, they're nice and all, but if ANet needs to take some time to fix them, all the power to them. And nothing you say, or how much you whine, complain and bitch won't change that. You don't need compensation for something ANet can't help. The system wasn't properly integrated at the time of it's conception so bugs creep up on them -- and they aren't always the same, or as easily fixable as you might think. So please, go do something else while you wait instead of posting useless blustering. Drago 15:53, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Not to mention the fact that ANet owns all the items/characters/points/titles in-game anyway...your "compensation" will come with patience and nothing more. --tero 19:41, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I second that, Drago. Well said. AtraAstrum(talk) 16:08, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- It would help if there we'd get at least some more information. Are we supposed to wait, call support, etc. Currently all that seems to be known is "doesn't work". I've read on another site that contacting support is recommended - but is that still valid (it's at least 2 updates ago, I think).? I don't feel like wasting my or their time writing about a problem they know about and perhaps even can't do anything about. Where'd be the problem writing a line like "Still working on XTH points, if you didn't get them drop us a line" if they want us to contact support? Or whatever they want us to do. I don't mind waiting, but I don't like being clueless. -- Cyberman 16:17, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I DON'T second you Drago!!, If you implement something then STAND by it and stand for it if there is a problem with it! You cannot expect not to get "wrapped on the knuckles" if a problem pops up with what you didn't do correctly this time around. People have the right to bitch and moan and DEMAND and explanation, so rather than saying nothing, get your boots on and say something !!Jaba Manaka 19:25 23 June (CAT)
- I would love to know who gave your degree in knowing everything. Obviously you must know something ANet doesn't. They aren't "standing by". If anything, they have their limited time with server engineers and other such people who are currently working on Guild Wars 2. I'm sorry if the timeline doesn't fit to your liking. And another thing, stop acting like you deserve any of these things. Just be happy with what you're given until ANet can manufacture a fix. Drago 19:57, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I suggest you make an appointment with your optometrist Drago and do that soon please, ask for a new set of spectacles and then read again what i said and then just then MAYBE you will see what i said, i said and i qoute "you implement something then STAND by it" i said nothing about "standing by" <<like you are quoting me out of context!! Just when you fix your eyesight (with a newer set of specs and maybe a stonger set)then i suggest you GO GET a GEGREE and stop projecting your IQ (for lack of understanding lies within the projector)Please don't appologize for anything like you are the LEADER OF THE PACK and we all have to BOW in your presence, for guess what i look around and i see no one doing that.
- Being given something does not mean that the receiver must be happy with what it received from the giver and i quote you directly "Just be happy with what you're given" for you can give the receiver something that he/she doesn't want to receive (like AIDS for an example)so again your lack of understanding the problem at hand shines through, finally i suggest you rather go play some or other BOARD game which will fit in with your low self esteem.Jaba Manaka19:00, 24 June 2009 (CAT)

Hello,
As you are aware, the distribution of May Xunlai Tournament Points took place on June 18th. Unfortunately, a problem developed during the distribution. Many players received their points, but some players appear to have received the incorrect number of points, and others did not receive any points at all, even though they did make predictions.
The dev team is currently reviewing the situation in order to determine the best means to correct the problem. The team will be need a few days to settle on and implement a resolution. In the meantime, we greatly appreciate your patience as we address the issue.
Regards, GM Phields The Guild Wars Team
That is a direct copy/paste. Hope this helps. Also Regena if im not mistaken said in a post yesterday that they were going to try to have an announcement about it today, but dont quote me on that. Drogo Boffin 18:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Everyone is getting the same generic response if you email support (I think Gaile said she wrote it). Anyway, Regina has said on GWGuru that we should expect a response in the "next few days" and she insinuated that there might be a response today; however, I would say that that's unlikely. Good luck to everyone who predicted. I hope you're all able to get your points, and I hope they get this fixed soon so we can predict for June (2 months w/o points would kinda suck). June Predictions[edit]
Nobody can make predictions for June since it it locked. Even the people that got THRs. Drogo Boffin 20:12, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- Regina has already stated on her talk page and GWGuru that no one will be able to make June Predictions until the May RPs are worked out. They have 4 days left, they better hurry up. Karate Jesus 20:45, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
- I only posted this here since people keep adding something about it to the update page. Drogo Boffin 20:51, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

- I hope they get it figured out soon. If not I hope they do something for us not being able to make predictions. Drogo Boffin 20:55, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

- Yeah give a free +10k or more of gold to every player thats a great idea *sarcasm intended*--84.102.149.239 08:41, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- The damage was done the moment they allowed people to have 14+ accounts all hammering on XTH 84.102. At this point who cares...there are people out there who clear 1 mil a month in z-keys as it is through what is basically Anet sanctioned gold buying. I hope no one makes the argument XTH requires effort either...frankly its a joke and everyone knows it. 76.20.238.253 13:40, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- But you have to figure, that technically it's the people who have 14+ accounts for XTH or what ever reasons that are the ones making money for anet right now as far as Guild Wars sales go, (outside of all the online store items of course.) It's safe to guess that people with 14+ accounts have paid more money to anet then people with just one account, yet people seem to think they have less of a right to complain about quality of service, when they technically have more money "invested" in the matter of XTH. It's all about business, these people have given anet their money for a product and service, even if it was just XTH or not, they have a right to expect anet to make up for any screw up. I'll point out that I said a "right to expect" not a "right to" because anet has their ass covered in the TOS for such things, but if they want to keep making money on a product in the future they need to keep the people who spend the most money happy. You might get all cranky and not buy your single copy of GW2 but XTH point farmer 'Billy' over there is going to buy 5 or 6 copies of it, so of course anet should make sure he gets what he wants. Companies that mess up are a dime a dozen, but a company that says, "Sorry my bad, here is something to make up for you inconvenience," is going to get my patronage in the future, so it would be smart of anet to give out even some points to make up for the points people missed out on. ChibiCD 15:24, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Chibi I agree with you, there is a basic (legitimate) expectation things will run smoothly or at least maintain the status quo. Not sure why they decided to revamp XTH and I would be shocked if they came back and told everyone to pound sand for May/June. I have confidence they'll work something out that is reasonable. 76.20.238.253 16:52, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

No Predictions will be made for the June Tournament[edit]
Just to update everyone, Regina has said in her second post here that there will be no voting for June. The mATs will still take place, but the XTH will be down and no one will be allowed to vote for the June tournaments. Sorry, to be the bearer of bad news. Karate Jesus 16:59, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

Guru. The site is horrible due to the admins being douches and many people do not like to go to it. I would also rather read the information on here then visit a sub par website. Drogo Boffin 18:18, 24 June 2009 (UTC)- I can't. Currently their site is down. Essentially, she was answering a question that asked if the mATs would be delayed, and she answered that the mATs would still occur but the XTH would be down for maintenance. I'll get the exact quote when Guru comes back up. Karate Jesus 18:20, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Here is what she just said on her talk page, "Xunlai Tournament House is closed. There is no voting for the time being, while the dev team works on the back end. People can still actually play in the tournament, though" Karate Jesus 18:24, 24 June 2009 (UTC)
- Guru is back up. Here's exactly what Regina said,
- Kupp: what about the June voting? Will that be simply canceled or will this month's mAT simply be postponed (wich I'm guessing it won't)?
- Regina: The tournament is scheduled, but there will be no June voting. XTH is down for extended maintenance. We're working with the web team to get a notification message localized into multiple languages and up on the XTH website, so this should be up tomorrow.
- There ya go. Karate Jesus 19:06, 24 June 2009 (UTC)

- It no longer affects them. When it was first updated on 6/19, you could "steal" the spirits throughout the Slaver's Exile dungeons, including Duncan's level. (This made defeating Duncan extremely easy, as the spirits didn't lose health when dealing damage to him.) As of 6/22, it is no longer possible to even use Signet of Binding on them, as far as I know. ··· cedave 16:37, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
