Bawww[edit]
US, Canada, and EU residents only... I can't send my wammo hammerdin prophecies-only build :( (not like you want to see it anyways XD)--Fighterdoken 22:38, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Any build is a disaster in the hands of the current henchman A.I. on my opinion... - J.P.Talk 22:48, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- zzz just pvx the 3 most common ha/gvg builds and hope for the "random selection" thing. --Cursed Angel 22:50, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- They have to be original builds...copyright restrictions. --Dominator Matrix 22:51, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Besides - people, but some originality into it for once instead of making a copypasta(TM)... — Poki#3 (talk) 22:52, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Oh, so PvX has copyright on builds now? Also, none of you even think of adding Tease or Escape. 84.87.168.39 06:16, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Not PvX but the authors. You cannot publish the build of someone else as yours (per rules of the whole thing) poke | talk 07:38, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- So, basically, users have to check on google if someone else already invented the wheel before sending their proposals.--Fighterdoken 08:00, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- That IP is mine btw. Also, the original part in the rules is just copy pasta from every other contest, meaning not be infriging copyright. BlazeRick 09:01, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- I appreciate the effort but they might as well have looked on pvx for ideas. Any good combos in the current meta that could be found most likely have been. When you can only have 8 skills at a time and a handful of decent elites in each profession there are only so many "good" bars you can make. What happens if there is a meta shift, will hench bars adjust accordingly? Too complex a format for static bars unless they are all around mediocre or we can re-roll somehow. 76.20.238.253 15:07, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

I remember that in PvE, a hench or two got their skills adjusted after skill balances. I reckon that will also be the cause when a skill falls out of play in PvP. I just hope that people that are making decision aren't the same who thought the new Aegis was balanced. BlazeRick 15:41, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
uh[edit]
does anyone know if henchmen are allowed to have a secundary? InfestedHydralisk 23:11, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Current ones? nope. I would guess they will use the same system for the new ones, but better ask Regina or someone...--Fighterdoken 23:16, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Kihm. Ɲoɕʈɋɽɕɧ 23:27, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, any NPCs can probably have even a gazillion professions, and considering they want them to be used I'd say it's a safe bet that they will have a secondary. If they wouldn't they would have noted so on the contest page, but the only thing there is that it has to be a working PvP build. (so PvP variants of skills and not PvE skills.) — Poki#3 (talk) 23:30, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- Still, I'm wondering about the weapons. Is equipping weapons from a non-primary profession allowed? (I'd think not. It wouldn't fit the tone...) And what mods can be assumed? Sundering +30 HP weapons? +5 E, +30 HP Staves? — Poki#3 (talk) 23:40, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- I'm hoping for henchmen along the lines of the norn fighting tournament, only with actual functional builds, so I'm hoping that any weapon combination is possible, but, better ask ANet... — Ebany 23:42, 27 August 2009 (UTC)

"Canadian residents will be required to answer an additional mathematical question in order to claim their prize." I was a bit disrupted when i read this. Are they trying to tell us something?... ^^ 82.176.174.199 05:16, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- It's about Canadian laws that prohibit games of chance (gambling). They are required to masquerade the event as a "contest of wits" to be legal. --77.79.126.26 07:20, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Matrix, you must be 18 or have permission from anyone over 18. PWND! --DAVA 08:04, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- "Are they trying to tell us something?" Yeah--it's so they filter out the Canadians who use "disrupted" like you did. KIDDING :) Or maybe they cut it out of the American one because the winners always disqualified themselves by it. Or, of course, the IP is right. ;) | 72 {U|S|T|C} - 17:19, 29 August 2009 (UTC)

August content update[edit]
Man, they really outdid themselves this time. elix Omni 06:51, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- "Winners will be announced on or around September 24, 2009 and will be posted on www.guildwars.com." I would guess that that's the day we get our content update. It's just a month late....not bad considering this is Anet we're talking about. Karate Jesus 14:39, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
- Very unlikely. That will be when they will announce the winners, not necessarily when the henchmen will be implemented in the game or heroes removed from PvP. Erasculio 15:15, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
