Talk:General Kahyet
That picture looks awful, but I can't seem to fix it, can someone else try?--TimOfDoom 13:34, 6 October 2007 (UTC)
Contradiction[edit]
This article says that you can't SoC her, yet the article forMirage_Cloak says under Signet of Capture 'General Kahyet'. This is an obvious contradiction, but I don't know where or not it's policy to still list it. SaberhagenFile:User Saberhagen Wiki Sig.JPG(My Talk) 19:10, 20 December 2008 (UTC)
- During the Blacktide Den mission, General Kahyet is killed as a boss. Maybe a SoC can be used at that time? (Ralmon the Gen 21:03, 19 January 2009 (UTC))
- In which case, this article should be changed, because you are able to capture from her. And if that's not the case, then Mirage_Cloak should be changed to have Kahyet removed from the acquisition list. 144.32.70.240 11:47, 29 January 2009 (UTC)
- Just completed this again. Signet of Capture can be used if she is not the last one defeated. I also changed the article text, although it might need to be reworded. (Ralmon the Gen 16:21, 1 March 2009 (UTC))

Discussion about Story Line addition[edit]
It should be noted due to controversy that Kahyet is in fact Varesh's leading general in the story line until defeated by the player at which time General Morgahn becomes the leading general.
I would like to encourage that this piece of information not be removed and be validated by the wiki MODS and the community. Seeing as a particular guild in guild wars held a contest with many questions about the game including one referring to whom Varesh's top general was. Now I care NOT for the prize but I DO care about the MISINFORMATION distributed by the contest holder who referred back to the wiki for their validation and subsequently threatened and kicked my self and my girlfriend from the guild because we disagreed with the use of said misinformation and were trying to have a reasonable rational discussion about it. .. So any way.. Any one who actually has paid attention to the story line can easily see that during game play it is obviously Kahyet who is the closest and the most renown general in Varesh's army, both personally and militarily. Knowing this one can say with great certainty this makes Kahyet the “top” general. Now it should also be noted that this is until Kahyet is killed “assassinated” by the player during the Blacktide Den mission where after Kahyet’s death Morgahn is given the top spot in the army but in the end is no where near as highly renown by Varesh as Kahyet was. --The preceding unsigned comment was added by User:Raven78931 (talk).
- I just re-read the GW manuscripts and i'm not getting the same conclusion as you are, necessarily. Kahyet is closer to Varesh at this point, mostly b/c they both share loyalty to Abaddon, but the manuscripts indicate that the 3 of them are equal. "Three generals report directly to Warmarshal Varesh Ossa." So, closest =/= leading, but leading may be true. --JonTheMon 15:39, 20 January 2009 (UTC)
kahyet was a mentor "vareshs" teacher s morgahn handled all the battle releated stuff with bahyel therefore she was not the leading genreal morgahn and bahyel were more hands on and were closer to being varehsh right hand ppl then kahyet and after said contest was finished this page was modified there foore theinformation to this "storyline" is not accurate as far as the contest goes
- Yeah I think they were actually supposed to be roughly equal, though it doesn't say this anywhere. However, I do also agree that at the beginning Kahyet is clearly closer to and probably more trusted by Varesh, but whether she is technically the "top" general is debatable. I suppose you could also argue that Morgahn is the top general since, following the logic that they are all equal, he is the only one ever to be higher than the others at any point of the game (i.e. when the others are both dead). The question "who is the top general" is kinda silly though since firstly, what do you mean by "top", and secondly, it changes throughout the game so yeah it should have been more specific. 81.107.77.52 08:37, 9 June 2009 (UTC)
