Talk:Graven Monolith
Is there any way to test if they are Constructs? MithranArkanere 18:20, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure why it would matter. To my knowledge there is not a skill that affects constructs specifically. Unless the hunt says constructs, which i'm not sure since I've only had it once :S 68.104.205.160 06:02, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
It says right in the description that they are Constructs... Look at their species.

Fleshy[edit]
Are Graven Monolith fleshy creatures? ---- Panah Api 10:48, 8 January 2008 (UTC)
- No they aren't -- Zackattack 11:44, 9 February 2008 (UTC)
Elemental Swords?[edit]
I've farmed these in Hard Mode non-stop for about 5 hours and didn't get any of these blasted swords, I went over to Rata Sum, into Magus Stones, done ONE run in the Raptor cave and a Q11 Elemental Sword dropped, I mean, for f**k sakes... I thought these were meant to be a good source for them... Obviously not :P FromStokoe 20:31, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
How to get them stuck in tablet form[edit]
Knock them down. Simple as that. When they are in tablet form drop a KD on them and they will never move again, even when attacked. You can, especially with Junduu, lock up groups of 10 of them with ease. Aggroing groups of them with giants and their giant stomp also works. Timing skills like meteor is difficult but doable. Tomes[edit]
What kind of tomes do these things drop? I would assume they drop them for all three of their professions, but I'd like to know if they can drop tomes only for the profession they're in when they die, or if it's only for the default profession, only for one no matter what, etc... --Jette 16:18, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
- I would not. Their skill set is replaced just like with Ursan and whatever, but they should still drop based on their profession. Backsword 18:06, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I saw one drop a mesmer tome today - VileLasagna 00:41, 29 March 2010 (UTC)
- One dropped a paragon tome for me today 95.93.98.7 20:56, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Paragon Form[edit]
I saw a Graven Monolith do Mending Refrain whilst he was in earshot of margonites, but no other Monoliths
so--Hubbard The Dervish 09:21, 4 August 2009 (UTC)
- they are purported to turn into paragon form only within earshot of allies. There are some places where these G-liths appear grouped with Margonites — without further details, this report sounds consistent with the article's current phrasing. — Tennessee Ernie Ford (TEF) 21:10, 31 October 2010 (UTC)
Farming[edit]
Awesome! No; no advise on where to go for the best chance to find them. Just argue about pure and utter nonsense. Thank you.
I have been 'farming' for 2 consecutive weeks. Luckily I found 9! But, seriously? Why must we spend so much time on these shards?! Damn, this is 2018, and this is STILL a problem? No, I am not asking for them to drop for every monolith I drop, but come on! Give me something I can work with! I have things to do with my life (<--that's a lie, but, still...)!
Rant over. I shall return to the WoW way of life: kill, reset, kill, reset, kill, reset... (shotgun blast to the head). --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.239.240.132 (talk) at 21:56, 29 May 2018 (UTC).
- If you've been farming them for two weeks, why not take this opportunity to document where you've found them and help others? G R E E N E R 22:28, 29 May 2018 (UTC)
- After 2 weeks of farming you probably know more about them and where they are located than the rest of the wiki users put together (that's not snarky but serious). Why not take the next step and improve the article then? You've already spend time with this rant - why not spend it instead on something more constructive? Steve1 (talk) 06:17, 30 May 2018 (UTC)
- You are so very right! And I shall. Seriously, thank you for pointing out that opportunity I just completely missed! I have found the most monoliths residing in the Crystal Overlook and the Ruptured heart. Strangely, I found more inscribed shards in The Alkali Pan (3) and Joko's Domain (3), up until I captured 6. I still visit them, but have yet to find any since. The last three were found randomly in The Shattered Ravines, Sulfurus Wastes and the first two listed. Basically, I have been endlessly circling the Ruins of Morah looking for just one more. Truth be told, though... I *may* have sold some shards before I knew what they actually were because they don't tell you that they are a quest item... Maybe they are punishing me for my foolishness! ...Also, I don't have the slightest clue on how to edit an article; I'd probably screw it up beyond recognition! :( --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.239.240.167 (talk) at 20:16, 30 May 2018 (UTC).
- Finally, after 2 more hours, I found the final one in Joko's Domain. Yay! XD! --The preceding unsigned comment was added by 173.239.240.167 (talk) at 21:27, 30 May 2018 (UTC).
